A cozy little bar with good food, drink, and service. We were pleasantly surprised by the selection and quality of the food. I can’t say I’ve been to too many bars that serve crab-filled grilled cheese! The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and accomodating throughout our meal, and the food was delicious!
I had the French dip sandwich. The rib meat was rich and tender, the provolone was melted evenly and toasted on top, and the jou was light, peppery, and flavorful, making for a meal that was indulgent and rich without being overly greasy or heavy.

We ambushed Nancy L Stahl and had an absolute blast at Hops and Barleys Middletown. The lobster rolls and old bay fries were ridiculously good. Caprese salad with shrimp was basically the best thing since sliced bread. We met Steve and his staff and they were ridiculously nice. You should check this place out if you want some amazing grub and fun company.
