Bartender was more concerned about eating her own plate out in the open than packing my to-go order. Took her 8 minutes to pack an already finished dish. She also didn't wash her hands. Besides that the tikka marsala was awful, there was only a small scoop of chicken in the watered down Marsala. For $15 the small entree was disappointing, and the service made me lose my appetite. Do better.

Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible. Does not meet ADA qualifications. Small curb in front of door leading after the ramp.

You could boil some grass in rainwater for dinner, and still enjoy it more than the food at Karara (not exaggerated). Some of the vegetarian dishes can literally be described as spiced brown water; no flavor whatsoever. I believe the chicken is just rolled in red-dye-40 food coloring, and again has no flavor at all.The portion sizes are terribly small, but the cost doesn't account for it. They also charge heavily for only a small cup of water (not even bottled water). Most seating arrangements are not even usable. The place is barely lit, and has no customers at all. Bad ambience.I thought, perhaps, they don't specialize in food but rather, the bar and parties. However, most of my friends that have been there tell me that even those are not well-catered.If Karara's management is reading, I would be more than happy to explore refund options.

The Indian food is a far cry from the claim of being the 'best in Hershey'. There was so little flavor. I'm giving my thoughts on their Lamb Curry dish, and I would not recommend it. If you want real authentic Indian in the Hershey area, I'd recommend Khana Indian Bistro. That restaurant doesn't need to claim to 'be the best', because when you go there, you already know it's true.

Came in on a random Thursday night, traveling in from out of town. Looking for a spot to get some good Indian food and beer(s). I can say the lamb jalfrezi was on-point. Spicy and flavorful. Slow cooked in the way that’s hard to do from a microwave. Ingredients were clearly fresh. Full bar and decent selection of draft beers and traditional bar food. Seems like a fun neighborhood hangout spot. You’re probably going to need to park on the street or walk. Will return.

I love coming here! The Indian dishes are always flavorful and there's a good variety. It seems to be owned by a family and they're always very welcoming and conversational. The restaurant has a patio outside that should be opening up soon. I will definitely be coming back to hang out and have a drink/dinner.

Vegetarian options: All the paneer options taste great. Good for vegetarians, not sure about vegan.

Parking: Just park at the old train station lot.

Best Indian and American fusion I have found, I will gladly drive 30 minutes to eat here. If you are in the area or looking for great food and service then Karara is for you.
