Roy Rogers (Inside Turnpike)

PA turnpike stop. Convenient when hungry

Wow, was hoping for something clean and enticing, but no such luck. They have these crazy flushless kohler urinals that stink like a bucket of aged pee mixed with ammonia...really appetizing. Then the food menu doesn't have enough information to even figure out what they sell. There's one sign on a stand showing a cod sandwich. There's a big board with some chicken sandwich images. There's a separate thing showing a roast beef sandwich and there seem to be some burger options...no prices or option lists or anything.....no way to figure out what they sell. The place is messy. We pay to use the turnpike but left without getting anything.

Not so tasty.

Don't eat there unless there is nothing else.

I hope this entire food chain goes bankrupt. Your food is trash at best. Also needing to pay $3 extra for white chicken meat???

The review below me is spot on. Only reason this chain still exists is cause of their monopoly on the turn pike. Once they lose that this chain is history.

It took 20 minutes for a burger and a 3 piece chicken meal. With no one a head of us in line. Place was completely empty!!! I thought they were raising the chicken from an egg!

Just had the most horrible food and service at this rest stop I got a roast beef and cheese it was surely laying around for hours the roll was decinagrated with juice and the roast beef was dry. Fries ice cold. It closes at 9:00. But we were there at 8:16 the maintance guy was putting everything away. Only2 workers and both were on their phones. That food is too expensive to throw away put that's what I did.

Why did they ever take away the horseradish sauce for the roast beef sandwiches? That sauce really made the sandwich. Why!? Why?!

It's a Roy Rogers at a rest stop. Set your expectations properly and you won't be disappointed. They serve food, so if you're starving and need something warm you're set. I give them credit for dropping fresh french fries for me when I ordered.
