Big delicious 😋 soft serve!
So, I've been by here plenty of times on my bike and it was always too busy for a quick stop. On a return trip from down east I happened by when it was dead. When I walked up to the window to order a man and his son were walking away with enormous sundaes, and the Dad lamenting their size. Unfazed, I strode to the tiny window and ordered a large waffle cone with raspberry-vanilla twist, about $4. A minute later I'm presented with the donkey-choking cone in the pic! I started laughing when the girl handed it to me, it had a spoon stuck in the side and she had to lean it out the window! Totally worth the discomfort and 40 minute consumption time. Get here, it's great!
Amazing milk shake
Generous portions of ice cream. And I love that they have a doggy menu that even includes cooked meats! I got the lemon dole whip which is a great dairy free option as well!
It's gotten a lot better than what it was in 2024
Fantastic soft serve! The banana was delicious. And thanks to the staff for serving us even though we showed up 3 min before closing!
We will be avoiding Amy's from now. A few days ago my wife and I stopped for ice cream and she got a banana sunday which had vanilla ice cream, banana, and hot fudge. We stopped with the kids today and she ordered the same thing specifically asking for bananas and hot fudge. We get the ice cream and there is no fudge so we go back up and say she asked why there was no fudge and they told her that they dont do that. We mentioned she had just got the same thing 2 days prior. Their reply was a blank look on their faces like they had no clue what to do or say. So my wife's banana sunday was vanilla ice cream with 4 banana slices. Pretty pathetic an ice cream shop does not know how or what goes in to a banana sundae. Maybe its just the young people working there with no people skills? You are better off going the extra 5-10 mins to purple cow, old mill, or chilly willy. This place isn't what it used to be.
I got a Black Raspberry shake. It didn't taste much like raspberry to me. Next time I will stick with vanilla!
My dad loves this place, often driving 45 minutes to get to it, passing numerous other ice cream places asking the way. I never tried it until today but I can see why he makes the trek. It's very creamy, seasonal flavors (they had fresh peach sundaes today). I ordered a medium and it was very large, plenty of ice cream, I should have gone with a small.
This establishment, from my experience, has been consistently friendly, inviting, professional, efficient, and left me with a first impression that has me coming back on a regular basis. The prices are affordable, the sizes left me feeling that I got what I payed for, and quality of food is above par for an ice cream place. Plenty of flavors. Most importantly, the employees were heartwarming, friendly, inviting, professional, and extremely quick with getting your order to you. Average ice cream wait out of 10 visits is an average of 1 to 2 mins. Highly recommend for family and ice cream time!!!
