So, I've been by here plenty of times on my bike and it was always too busy for a quick stop. On a return trip from down east I happened by when it was dead. When I walked up to the window to order a man and his son were walking away with enormous sundaes, and the Dad lamenting their size. Unfazed, I strode to the tiny window and ordered a large waffle cone with raspberry-vanilla twist, about $4. A minute later I'm presented with the donkey-choking cone in the pic!...
My dad loves this place, often driving 45 minutes to get to it, passing numerous other ice cream places asking the way. I never tried it until today but I can see why he makes the trek. It's very creamy, seasonal flavors (they had fresh peach sundaes today). I ordered a medium and it was very large, plenty of ice cream, I should have gone with a small.
This establishment, from my experience, has been consistently friendly, inviting, professional, efficient, and left me with a first impression that has me coming back on a regular basis. The prices are affordable, the sizes left me feeling that I got what I payed for, and quality of food is above par for an ice cream place. Plenty of flavors. Most importantly, the employees were heartwarming, friendly, inviting, professional, and extremely quick with getting your order to you....
