To find a Latino fusion restaurant in Central PA! ? ?♥️ As someone who has traveled widely throughout Latin America, the food at Guante is the best Latin food I have eaten. Period. ?The chef is a master of spice combinations, and salt, fat, sugar, and acid balance. Masterful.The diversity of menu options gives patrons a tour of Latin American favorites with modern twists. Some reviewers complain that they don't have Mexican food options. Uht..hum...they aren't a Mexican restaurant. Their menu highlights some of the best foods Latin America has to offer.We enjoyed their tacos de cameron, vegetarian empanadas, refried beans, and fried yuca balls. And, definitely get an order of refried beans....so, so good.We left with full tummies and content hearts...and we will be making a regular stop here when we travel from Altoona to Camp Hill.If you are looking for an elevated foodie experience, this will satisfy your taste buds.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options for many plates, but the options aren't protein options.

Loved everything about this place!!---We've been here several times ,always loved it, but won't be back again. I always check hours before I go places, the advertised hours were until 9:00, we went a few minutes before 8 and they were closing when we went in the door!!! Don't put your hours on the web if you aren't going to follow them! Very Disappointed!!!!

We really love the food, and have had good experiences for both dine-in and take-out. We have never been disappointed with the food! The only thing that I am a bit disappointed with is there are times of not being able to reach the restaurant by phone, and there's no voicemail greeting stating changes to their hours. We were under the impression that the restaurant was open until 9 pm this evening, but when we tried to call to place an order around 8pm, the calls went unanswered, and there's a greeting saying, "Hello. We are not available now". That's it. No other information, no way to know if their hours had changed, if they were still open, etc. I had surgery earlier today & when I was finally able to eat, their food was all I wanted ?. We'll still order again in the future, and still love Guante's, but I hope things will get better with the phone system & that up-to-date notifications will be provided if/when their hours change.

Best Cuban sandwich I've ever had. Kinda on the smallish side though. Also the sweet plantains were the best we've had. The plantain chip were just ok. My wife got some bowl meal and said it was good but small portion of protein and lots of rice.

The food here is incredible!! I love the plantains they bring out right away. I like the atmosphere inside but they are good at serving takeout as well.
