After moving in and trying some of the local spots, Bar Louis has quickly become one of our favorites in the area! We never leave unsatisfied - great food, great drinks, great ambiance, and of course great people!

Bar Louis is located downstairs and has a warm, cozy atmosphere. When we visited in January, the restaurant was decorated with a fun skiing theme that added to the charm. The cocktails were diverse and well made, and as a pleasant surprise, the staff brought out a plate of deviled eggs before our appetizers, perfectly seasoned and a unique touch that set the tone for the meal. Overall, it was a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience.
The prix fixe holiday menu was incredible. The food was great. Three of us all got different things. The lobster bisque and baby kale salads were amazing. The gnocchi was superb, if perhaps a bit too much oil, and the scallops were devoured without even sharing one bite with the other diners! The branzino was delicious, with a light and flavorful grapefruit beurre blanc. The duck was cooked perfectly and tasted great, and the rib eye (they were out of prime rib) was gorgeous and tasted perfect. Desserts were also amazing, with the vanilla bean cheesecake being my favorite. We love Bar Louis for it's atmosphere. It's very hard to find an upscale atmosphere and food in this area, and Bar Louis is the one place we consistently find both.
Such a fantastic Christmas Eve dinner! Everything was absolutely excellent -- food, service, Christmas decor throughout the building, all of it! +++++. We'll absolutely be back next year, if not sooner! Thanks for a very merry Christmas Eve dinner!
The food was delicious and the restaurant is decorated beautifully for the season. A wonderful place for date night.
Food was very salty. Carrot cake was disappointing not a real carrot cake but a very dense spice cake with a butter cream icing Feels like they tried to defrost quickly to serve.
This is the second time that we have come to the Hotel to eat - the first brunch in the Delmonico room and last night dinner in the Bar Louis. On both occasions the food was excellent but of even greater importance, the staff was exceptional! I would love to see them open the Delmonico Room for dinner - it appears that their staff is very competent and well treated - It made dining on both occasions even better!
We have eaten at restaurants all over the world and this was one of the best meals we have even had. My husband's filet mignon with bone butter was AMAZING! and my Nicoise was so, so good. We had the sushi pizza appetizer and it was a delicious surprise.
Dinner at Bar Louie, or at least I wish we did. Was sat right away for our 7:15 reservation. Three waiters attended to all the tables around us, including a couple sat after us. No one came over for 25 minutes, so we got up and left.

First time trying Bar Louis for dinner and they did not disappoint. Everything from the moment you walk in is very well curated. The cocktails are delicious and the food was easily the best meal I've had all year. Highly recommend getting the sushi pizza, mussels and tagliatelle pasta if you like seafood. What a lovely staff they have there, too. There was never a moment where I felt forgotten and everyone there was so personable. 10/10 experience.
The food was delicious . Everything about this restaurant is first class. Will definitely be back.
Check this place out. The menu is excellent. Food well prepared. The Halibut is excellent. The duck was flavorful but bit chewy. The guy in the picture is Bob, the bartender and manager. He is a local with a million stories to tell you about the history of the hotel, Bar Louis and the local area. He will tell you why the area residents of the 1960s were not President John Kennedy fans, the reservoir that was planned for the area, etc, etc. Also restaurant has a great collection of Andy Warhol photos taken by Warhol's photographer. Apparently the ownwr of the place has some connection to the Warhol family. The one with John Lennon, only 3 copies exist. One here one in Pittsburgh at Warhol's museum and another somewhere else. Homemade ice cream. Make sure you talk to Bob. He us happy to tell you his story and the history of the pkace and the area.
