We went back for lunch yesterday. this time I ordered the red hook, he said I would love it. I sure did! So delicious and filling, I will have the other half for lunch today. š Highly recommend trying it.
Awesome Heroes!! This was our second visit for lunch to the store, they did not disappoint. The heroes are packed with meat. You can barely get your mouth around it to take a bite. Impossible to eat the whole hero in one sitting!! We wrap it up and eat it the next day for lunch! Canāt wait to go and see what to order next! I had the Bensonhurst and the Marine Park so far!!
The sandwiches are amazing 𤩠as well as the fresh mozzarella. The only place in town Iāve found Manhattan Special šš¼ Meat is always fresh and the pasta section is good too
We walked in and were told we would get the best sandwich. I must say, they were the best sandwiches! Thankyou from fellow brooklyners. We will definetly be back!
I had food from here last year and it was great, which is why I came back. Unfortunately, my recent experience was completely different. The customer service was the worst Iāve encountered at a business. I placed an order for a party, and the gentleman taking my order was extremely rudeāalmost as if I was inconveniencing him by giving him business.
When I politely asked if the tomatoes could be put on the side for a hoagie order, he responded with, āyouāre going to cause problems, arenāt you.ā At first I thought he was joking, but he was not. I then asked if he could cut the 3 foot hoagies into smaller pieces and he got annoyed and said they will be cut. That type of attitude is unacceptable and makes it very hard to want to support this business again.
Very disappointed on my recent visit. Have purchased there many times over the years. This time, Threw over $40.00 worth of food out. Cheese in eggplant was sour, sandwich tasted off too. After 3 days in the bathroom, I won't return.
Great sandwiches
We catered a party from the Brooklyn Pork Boy recently. The food was delicious! Especially the fried chicken cutlet hero! Everything was great; eggplant rollatini, penne alla vodka, roast pork with mushrooms and gravy, chicken franchise, orrechietti with sausage and broccoli rabe and meatballs. Matt was able to fulfill our every need and answered all questions. He had the food hot and ready for pickup as promised. We will be ordering from here again for any event in future! Thanks Matt, for a job well done!š
Hubby and I were craving an Italian sub after hiking so we drove into Milford and found this gem. Hubby ended up ordering the Bergen Beach while I ordered the Italian knowing we would share each other's. They did not disappoint! The sandwiches are huge. The amount of meat stuffed inside is incomparable to any other deli and you can tell everything is so fresh. The guy behind the counter was super nice and I loved that they had some pre-made dinners to go for a quick meal. We will definitely be back for more!!
Brooklyn Boy has a nice selection of Italian foods and pastries. If you need a homemade meal you will not be disappointed.

Excellent Italian sub.. reminiscent of the NY corner deli.. Give them a try you wonāt be disappointed
Yesterday we stopped in to Brooklyn boy pork store in Milford. We picked up the cheese and parsley sausage patties. I sautĆ©ed some bell peppers and sweet onions and served them with the sausage patties on Italian bread, with corn on the cob and garlic pickles. If youāre ever in Milford, I recommend a stop!!! They are delicious!!! The hot sopperssata fantastic!! Canāt wait to try the hot sausage links we bought!!
I want to like this place, but, having patronized the store in its previous iteration as Fretta's, there's just no comparison.
Where Fretta's had an abundance of well displayed delicacies, BBPS often appears a bit sloppy. Where Fretta's always had a helpful and friendly team, BBPS is often abrupt and dismissive. Where Fretta's had prices that were affordable and adjustable portion sizes, BBPS has high prices for what you get and are inflexible when it comes to wavering from sizes offered.
As I said, I want to like BBPS. It causes me joy when local places shine, but they just don't.
Just ate a chicken cutlet hero from Brooklyn Boys with a side of macaroni salad. Everything was fresh and delicious. Great sandwich!
Nice owner, great food, amazing pickles
