Had a good experience love it definitely come back recommended very nice local and New York New Jersey people the food is outstanding and yet I live 45 minutes away from here outside of Scranton but definitely is worth to come to this area keep up the good work people ??
We dined with friends we haven't connected with in 50 years. We had delicious food and service. We weren't rushed. The waiter/bartender let us chat away and was very patient in taking our order.it was a great dining experience with our friends.
This restaurant never fails to impress. We have been here four times over the past few years (only on the porch in the summer). The food is delicious, it has a lovely traditionally elegant but not stuffy ambiance. Shout out to charming server Faith, who provides the perfect amount of attentiveness.
Sadly, there was nothing memorable about this meal. The burger was bland and basic. The sushi pizza was oily and also bland. The wine was good. The space quite nice. And we did enjoy the French onion soup which was just the right amount of cheesy. But overall, it just didn't feel like the night out we had hoped for.
Long wait, food is delicious tho, everything, no free refills on sodas shoulda lost them a star, but like I said, foods good
We sat on the porch on a beautiful sunny afternoon and had a nice dinner here. It was cool and shady under the awnings with the ceiling fans on. Everything we had was delicious and the service was spot on. Must get the sushi pizza!

Food and drinks are excellent. Nice atmosphere-like being in manhattan. Only complaint is they didn't acknowledge our anniversary which I mentioned in the reservation. Last year we were served complimentary champagne for the occasion. Oh well. Would still go back.
The roasted Brussels sprouts were steamed or boiled and dressed with raw garlic. The chicken was good, but the presentation with 1 potato was bland and unimaginative. I can only assume there is no chef in the kitchen. Sad to see a lovely venue serving up disappointment for dinner.
We had a lovely evening starting at the bar, with a very friendly and engaging bartender. Excellent service at the table by Annalise. We started with oysters tht were very fresh and briny. Entrees were the salmon and the chicken. Portions were generous and perfectly prepared. We indulged for dessert...cant recall the name but a many thin layered cake. We chose a celebratory white wine to wash it all down.
We were looking forward to dinner here, but overall a so-so experience. Escargot and mussels apps were good. My salad nicoise—eh, I make it better. The chicken breast was going to be substituted w chicken thighs and the veggies were all changed as well, so my husband ended up getting a burger which he had to send back bc he requested med well and it was def med rare. Plus there was a loud family nearby, so all in all not a pleasurable evening other than a nice margarita and great frites.

Best French Onion Soup I've ever had. The Salad was fresh & crisp but ask for extra dressing. The Oysters were from Chesapeake Bay. I prefer northern east coast varieties. Overall was a very good evening and the service was very good.
Had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon on the porch. Lovely ambiance. Faith, our server, was excellent. Her demeanor and service couldn't have been more pleasant and responsive. Menu has a nice assortment of options and the drink menu is plentiful. Food preparation is above average but not excellent. I ordered the burger medium and it came medium rare (which I also like, so I didn't say anything, but it was noted...to be fair, if I said something I'm sure it would have been rectified). Double expresso after lunch was thin and watery. Other than these things, Faith again was amazing and deserves recognition.
Great food, great ambience. Incredibly slow service. We ate here two nights in a row. There was an event the first night and we put the slow service down to the kitchen being stretched but the service the next night was even slower! An hour and 10 minutes after sitting down, our meal arrived. According to friends in the area, this is a chronic issue and they won't eat there any more. Neither will we.
Always a great experience at Bar Louis. The squid ink pasta with shrimp is outstanding. The escargot (get a dinner, rather than an app - well worth it) is DIVINE! Wow! The Salad Nicoise is exquisite. Deviled eggs, well done and great to share for one or two couples. Bob, the bartender/server is WONDERFUL! Thanks for a great experience!
Somewhat disappointing experience considering the venue. The sushi pizza looked great but the rice was almost dessert sweet. The eggs Benedict came with the eggs as hard as rock, and the replacement eggs took at least another 15 mins. They were kind enough to take it off the check without us asking. The “smoked” salmon on the eggs Benedict was tiny amount and dry. The tuna in the ahi tuna Niçoise salad was definitely not ahi tuna but looked like ham. This place has such amazing atmosphere, the service was very good, it honestly has so much potential that can easily be achieved with a little effort in the kitchen.
