Visited for supper. New to the area, and haven't had good Chinese food in a while. The lady was super nice, however the food was not it. The pork wonton were overcooked, brown, had a slight old grease taste, yet the pork still tasted like it just came out of the refrigerator after a couple days. My black pepper chicken was also a bit overdone, and the sauce carried notes that were slightly burnt. My wife's food was okay. Bland vegetables, and chewy beef. White rice is white rice, and my lo mein was basically pasta noodles. Nothing spectacular, but nothing inedible. I probably won't be back, but encourage others to judge off their taste and preferences.

The China House Buffet in Selinsgrove has Ice Cream and other Desserts, White and Pork Fried Rice, Salad Bar, lo mein, steamed green beans, General Tso’s Chicken, Chinese Dumplings, Mushrooms in a cream sauce, Walnut Sauce Chicken, Honey Vinegar Chicken, Mac -n- cheese, pizza, grilled potato slices, Peel and Eat Shrimp, Imitation crab sticks, Wonton Soup, Hot & Sour Soup, Fried Wonton with cream cheese filling, Wing Dings, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy and more…. Over 100 different items, on 5 Big Bars and it’s All You Can Eat!!!! Other than the Buffet in Milton that has maybe, 10 items on 1 Bar….. Not a very Big Selection of food!!

We’ve been loyal customers jades palace for years — the food is always delicious, the portions generous, and the service consistently fast. So we were genuinely excited to see they’re now available on DoorDash and ordered our usual last night.
Everything tasted great as always — until tonight, when we sat down to enjoy our leftovers and my husband bit into a screw. Yes, an actual metal screw embedded in his General Tso’s chicken.
This is beyond unacceptable. We understand that accidents happen in kitchens, but a screw in someone’s food is a serious safety hazard. He could’ve broken a tooth or worse.
We're incredibly disappointed and shaken by this experience. We hope the restaurant takes this seriously and implements better food safety practices immediately — because while we’ve always loved their food, something like this makes it hard to trust eating here again.
