Every step of the way in our planning, John Lowe’s team was available to answer our questions and were so patient with us. They were incredible working with us on the many dietary restrictions our guests.
On the day of, our guests raved about the poached pear mocktails, and quite a few said it was some of the best “wedding food” they’d had! And having Lex assigned to take care of my husband and I throughout the event was a godsend. One of my clearest memories of the day was Lex sneaking my husband hors d'oeuvres between pictures —she had our whole bridal party chuckling. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

We were married at Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens on November 11, 2023. We used Catering by John Lowe for our cocktail hour and reception. The process of putting together the menu was definitely daunting, but the staff was incredibly kind and responsive to any questions or changes/alternations throughout the process. The food tasting was our favorite part of the planning process, and they even made that feel extra special. We went with family style, which was perfect for our wedding, and our family absolutely loved it. We only had 55 guests, with the majority being close family, and the family-style made it feel much more special. Also, I still hear about how good the food was. Highly recommend.

From the very beginning at our tasting, we were extremely impressed and so excited to have John Lowe at our wedding. The food was AMAZING! The team was so friendly and worked with us to create the perfect menu for our wedding, even including custom requests. Our favorite part was that they went above and beyond to ensure my husband and I got to taste all the delicious food we had chosen. We had our own server for the day and right after the ceremony, we got to try our amazing appetizers with a special tray just for us. They also ensured we got some of everything on our plate for dinner and it gave us the opportunity to make sure we actually ate our meal on such a crazy day. Our guests raved about how delicious everything was, and the late night wanderer station was a HUGE hit! To top it all off, they sent us home with leftovers that we got to enjoy the next day. John Lowe also offers a unique family style serving option that is the perfect balance between a buffet and served dinner. They were extremely efficient and dinner time went very smoothly for us and all our guests! We were very proud to have chosen a caterer with such delicious food and great service for our big day! Don’t be fooled by the ratings. They’ll under serve your guests but charge you heftily. Then when admitting they weren’t up to par, they’ll send a weak excused of a refund. They sent under 3500 as a refund which is laughable. Spent over 20k for 200 guests and 2500 alone for specialty apps. In the family style package you get 4 apps and we paid for an extra 4 apps. The family style package came out to over 14k alone so where’s the refund for the 4 apps in the family package that no guests got to eat? 2500 (non existent specialty apps) + the $ amount for the 4 apps in the family style package + taxes + service fee = 3500? their math is as good as their service.
