Coast and Main Seafood and Chophouse

We had made a reservation to celebrate our anniversary which we indicated on Open Table; arrived five minutes after our reservation time - well within the 15 minute window. We were not greeted by the hostess, who just said, “Reservation?” followed by “This way.” We were seated at a 2-top table against a slanted mini wall, right next to a party of 13. There was barely 1' between the corner of our table and the chair of the larger table, which every waiter used as the most direct way to the kitchen rather than walking around the large table. This went on while we ordered and received beverages and bread - our waitress Mary immediately wished us a happy anniversary and was wonderful - and our table was repeatedly bumped. Not a pleasant experience at all. My husband went to the reservation stand and asked for the manager; when the hostess asked if she could help, he replied, “No, you're part of the problem.” Once the manager arrived, we were moved to a booth, and our experience improved significantly. It was a busy Friday night and the restaurant was quite loud. We had ordered the Blue Point oysters on the half shell - which the manager comped as an apology - and they were sublime. Enjoyed the crab and corn chowder and wedge salad which were fresh and delicious. Our entrees were the jumbo scallops and the yellowtail tuna which were superb. Although we had a rough start to our evening, the food and service were excellent.

The food took about a hour to come out and my food was cold but the service was great. The food was flavorful.

Always great food. Go there often . Chef Ricky is the best and his wife is there often and comes over to say hello. Great Sunday brunch. Fabulous crab cakes

The food is superb. My steak and the lamb were done to perfection. They have a shrimp cocktail with this mango sauce that is to die for. They will also give you regular seafood sauce if that's not what you are into. You really must try it though. The staff is awesome and bend over backwards to make sure your experience is the very best.

What a great first visit !! Everyone was so nice and chatty. It was our anniversary and the waitress (Julie) ended up giving us a free dessert which was so nice. The mushroom risotto was the best risotto I have ever had. Cant wait to go back !

We enjoyed every aspect of our meal from the interesting cocktails to the giant piece of moist chocolate cake.

Our server Julie was the best. Food was excellent. Went for brunch plan to return for dinner.

Mike is a great server. Every time we go to Coast and Main the food is great and the service is even better.

Loved my birthday evening here. The food, and service were wonderful. They were so kind to bring me a birthday dessert.

We celebrated my mother's birthday. Everyone raved about their dishes and drinks. All entrees were perfectly cooked from the steak, pork chops and the scallops. Our waitress was very attentive and pleasant. At the end of dinner, a piece of key lime pie was presented to the birthday girl. We love Coast and Main.

It was a birthday celebration. Not much fine dining left in Monroeville but we had been there years ago. Gave it a try. Went with restaurant week menu. Upgraded to lobster bisque well worth the price. Crease salad was a bit funky. Swordfish was Allie over cooked. Tenderloin was perfect. Desserts overwhelmingly good with a sparkler. Service over the top.

We had drinks in the bar to start. Great start to a wonderful evening. We were not rushed to be seated at our reserved table. A selection of bread was delivered promptly as we started looking at menus. We had the bone marrow appetizer and friends had mussels. Bone marrow had a nice caramelized edge and great flavor when spread on a toast crisp. Friends love curry and said the mussels were delicious. Our husbands had the Chilean sea bass and my friend had the Branzino. All were flaky and accompanying sauces were flavorful. I had lamb chops. I received four chops that were grilled perfectly! They were medium rare which is exactly the way I like them. Great flavor and so tender! It was a large potion so I took two of the four home. The dish was also served with three battered onion rings. For dessert, my husband has crème brûlée and our friends share a pecan ball. All very enjoyable! Drinks and wine were served in a timely manner. The noise level was at a conversational level. Waiter was efficient but not overbearing. We had a great evening from 5-8 pm.

Terrible for the price point. Service was terrible and food was below average. Music choice is terrible and people working there do not know what they're doing. Disappointed and will not be returning.
