Julie's Bubble Tea & Smoothies - Monroeville

Got a honeydew milk tea with brown sugar boba. It's by far the best boba I've had since I was in Massachusetts 3 years ago. My ONLY qualm is that it took literally 40 mins to find it. Google maps contradicts the mall map. Might not be an issue for locals, but I live 2 hours away and only came here for the boba tea. So for anyone else in the same situation, it's in front of JC Penny's.

We get bubble tea once or twice a week (often at different stores), and figured we try Julie's for a change. We got a taro and a mango milk tea, and ended up disappointed: way too much ice made the drink watery, the boba's consistency wasn't good, and the drink was overpriced. Maybe we were unlucky? I prefer most boba places over this one.

Whoever owns this place has done the Monroeville area a great service. This is where I tried my first "real" boba tea and it was so good! The workers are quick and so nice. Definitely be careful about what boba and tea flavor combo you get, though, since some can turn out a little funky-tasting. If you aren't confident in your boba-crafting skills, they always have some premade drinks of the month. I love the ones with, like, glitter, boba, and tea/lemonade, but I will drink anything that Julie's makes! They always have some form of coupon in the local paper, which I love! 10/10 recommend!

The girl working was slamming things around, wearing her headphones not listening, and was pissed when she got my order wrong and I told her. She got an attitude because she couldn’t hear me. Plus her unsanitary long nails, she couldn’t do anything.

Amended ReviewJulies Bubble Tea has excellent customer service and a warm friendly atmosphere and the BEST drinks - at the IRWIN shop.The Mall shop is ... not as great.They close at 8 on the week nights. We were there at 7:15-7:20pm.The staff was chatting instead of noticing customers, when we were acknowledged she said they already had everything clean by and weren't serving anything other than fruit tea.I did leave an angry 1 star review (because of my epic disappointment that evening) that I am changing now because as a whole, Julies is a GREAT place to get amazing custom drinks.*Photo is Irwin shop.GO THERE.

Wonderful Boba Teas you can customize or get premade recipe combos. All I've met are nice staff, and it has lactose free alternatives. I get one biweekly before work, and it is a great way to start the day. :)

It's nice having a Boba tea place in Monroeville, but this is far from being the best. Starting off with the positives, there are a nice selection of flavors for both the drink and bubbles, plus the cup sizes are reasonable for the price. The only thing that makes me hesitant to go here is the fact that, no matter what flavors I get, I always feel like I'm constantly thirsty after having Boba tea from this place. I don't know if it's the ingredients, the syrup-to-milk/tea ratio, or what, but it happens every time.

Flavor of the tea is good but got VERY sick within twenty minutes of drinking it today. Some of the tapioca boba pearls were not the tapioca pearls. They tasted off and just not good. Staff was friendly but not worth getting sick. This hasn’t ever happened to me before with brown sugar milk tea.The consistency that I’m used to for tapioca pearls are more chewy and thick. Most of the tapioca in this drink which tasted bad to me were (and this is the closest description I can think of) breaking apart like orbeez if that makes sense. Very chunky and breaking easily and not chewy at all. Just tasted terrible.

First time ordering today...I got Lean Up w/Pineapple Drizzle...Very good and filling I will be back...Def need more healthy food options and smoothie spots in Pittsburgh

Took me a bit to find this place as it isn't in the food court.Go to the JCPenney side of the mall on the first floor.Glad to have boba in Monroeville now!

I love the Chai milk tea with traditional tapioca boba! Amazing experience and drinks at Julie's Bubble Tea! Today, my husband and I got to meet the owner, Dave, and he was very kind and helpful! We got to learn more about him and his family, and we are overall in love with this small business. We will be frequenting here more often!
