Philly has Pat's and Geno's...Pittsburgh has RUDY'S!!! Cheese Steaks Above and Beyond!!! Going here for YEARS and NEVER been Disappointed!!! Tender Seasoned Steak, Tasty Provolone Cheese, but the BREAD...The Bread makes it Unique and Distinct!!! When Relatives and Friends come from out of town, I tell them this a PGH MUST and they've NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED!

This Pittsburgh institution IS NO LONGER.They might have the same dirty location, the same menu (not really), the same grunge atmosphere, but the FOOD is not the same.... it's gross!That's only IF you get what you order. BIG IF!Do check! Because there is nobody there that will make sure your call-in order is correct and if it's wrong, well, TOO BAD!Which brings me to the most important part: RUDE RUDE RUDE people working there.I know, customer service has been cancelled all over. But when you're in food service and you want people to patronize your place, you better have great food and great people and all around great service or your bad business practices will eventually fail you out of business.Good business is not happening at Rudy's.It's gross. The people are mean. The era of Rudy's is long over.If you're looking for that old familiar sandwich and the friendly faces, you've gone to the wrong place.Our family will never go there again.There are too many other great sub shops within spitting distance of this sh&thole.

Wow! What happened? I get times are rough but your staff ! Cashier, majority of her language had the "F" word every other word. (Loudly)Especially talking about her child. Sad, sad, sad ! Dude in the back cooking, while we eat in your booths. Described a toy shooting pellets the liquid inside of it look like what would be dirty diaper! He described it multiple times so that we made sure we knew what he was talking about. Don't want to forget to tell you about I witnessing the vaping in the kitchen! I get it your going for the dive feeling. Never coming back just lost our business.
I’m from the Philly area and Rudy’s has one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve had. Amazing shoestring fries too. Great staff and it’s always ready quick!

The hoagies were delicious, the staff was so friendly. Definitely one of the things I miss about Pittsburgh. My only suggestion is to spiff up the building it’s very antiquated and not inviting from the outside and that’s a shame because the food and staff are spot on.

Rudy's Subs has been a staple in Monroeville since forever. Generous portions, fresh ingredients, made to order... They make it the way YOU want it. Their hours are convenient for when that hunger hits. Excellent!

The food here is absolutely amazing. My go to is the Italian combo and it is delicious. However, it's always a horrible visit when dining in and dealing with the cashier with the curly hair. She is flat out nasty and rude for absolutely no reason. Even taking an order (which is her job) is a inconvenience to her. Constantly complaining about working. Not something you want to hear while you are trying to enjoy lunch. Going to rudy's I always hope i can miss out on her being there but she is always there sadly. Great food which is a bummer, hopefully they can find some new staff because she for sure doesn't help the business.
