Hard to go wrong here! ;-) Food is always good at this place if you're eating in! Cozy. But if you order to go, beware, it's never as good. For example, the General Tsos chicken. If you order it to eat in, it's crunchy and amazing. It you order it to go, it's always soggy. And I only live 8 minutes away. I swear they prep some of their more popular dishes ahead of time, for to go orders, and then just throw them in the microwave.
Was just there recently, and they've changed the menu, and prices have gone up. The Combination Chow Mein is no longer on the menu, but I was still able to order it. But now they're giving you much less meat in the dish. If the prices go up, I'm OK with that. Just don't change the dish and give people less. I hate it when restaurants do that. I'd rather pay a little more to have the dish the same way I've always had it.

Love this place for two reasons! First, the fish was sooo fresh. The sashimi, every variety, was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious, but I can’t praise the fish highly enough.
The second reason is their respect for the gluten-free among us. The waiter answered all of our questions, never acted annoyed, and ensured the sushi remained gluten free. The chefs listened and avoided the sauces which contain gluten, especially the unagi sauce. The tamari sauce was fantastic. It was our first experience having to ask about gluten, and they couldn’t have been nicer.
We’ll definitely return!
Dietary restrictions: As I said above, they went out of their way to keep our dishes gluten free. I can’t vouch for their activity behind-the-scenes, but our sushi was free of glutenous sauces and the waiter answered all of our questions. Greatly appreciated.

Scallion pancakes extremely soggy don’t know why they would pack something fried with no ventilation. I ordered over the phone the girl said they don’t do sauce on the side except soy sauce and duck sauce which was weird.. I have never had pad Thai without extra peanut sauce or stir fry sauce on the side. It was flavorless didn’t taste Thai at all! The fried rice was good but orange chicken a bit old tasting. I spent $70 for something that would’ve cost $40 less and tasted 20x better in New Jersey. A total waste.

This must be the place everyone has been talking about, because seemingly everyone was there. And the food backed it all up.

Nice atmosphere even on a busy evening. The food was good and tasty. The servers were polite and friendly and the overall setting felt clean and cozy. You don't feel rushed and can just enjoy a nice time as a date or with family. Unlike other reviewers we thought the sushi was good, maybe not the most fancy sushi ever but was still yummy and yes it should be cold or just barely room temperature and taste somewhat fishy. Also recommended the Shrimp Pad Thai and the pork dumplings.
Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options but not on a separate menu. You can just choose many dishes to be without meat but that's up to the customer to know what they want and to be clear about how they order.
Parking: Shares a large front parking lot with other stores in the plaza.
Kid-friendliness: There were a number of families with little kids present when we went. I wouldn't say that there are special accomodations for children but they weren't inhospitable there.

Chicken and pork egg rolls are awful.
Ordered 2 diet cokes and didn't receive them. Ordered fried rice and got sticky rice. Ordered an egg roll and received soup. Not a very pleasant experience to barely receive what I ordered.

Was bad enough that I got on here to write a review. Food was absolutely terrible. Philly roll should have been called "cream cheese and rice" and the chicken pad thai was the worst I've ever had.

General Tsos was pretty good. Fried rice was made fresh and about as good as I’ve ever had. Egg roll was fresh no pre-made and good. Definitely will go back

Ordered sesame chicken and it was too tough to eat.told them and they said that it must have gotten cold. Told them to take item off the bill or replace and they took the same product back and reheated it. Obviously was tougher this time. Refused to take off the bill. This place has great food- sometimes- it’s really hit or miss. I won’t take the chance again.

Excellent food, my mom and I went there for lunch. Their lunch portions were large. Best chicken broccoli I have had and she got general tso’s chicken. Server had too many tables, that’s why service was a 4. Other than that, great food, clean restaurant, highly recommend! :)

I definitely recommend Taipei Tokyo ! Sushi is excellent as well as most of the other options. Friendly staff .
Food was bland. Fried rice looked good, but tasted like plain rice. Pad thai was 80% onion. Sesame chicken tasted like someone mixed sugar and water and and rolled some extra sinewey chicken that they call "fried" in it. Sushi was heavily unbalanced with pieces having only fish and others having only avocado. You will leave this place questioning why it's still open for business.
