The best food, drinks, and atmosphere! Whether we do hibachi or regular dining, Ooka never disappoints!
Anna is the best! The food and service were on point as always. We all enjoyed the combo 4 sushi platter.
OOka never dissapoints. The sushi is phenominal, and the service is always very professional. We loved the mocktails option for a work lunch!
Not sure what we like better, the people/service or the food. It's one of our favorite places to eat and there's always something new and fun to try as well as the items on the menu. Also, there are great off menu options too which are some of our favorites. You won't be disappointed here!
Good customer service, clean, the food was delicious and the portion were a nice size! We will return!
We started with the delicious Pork Gyoza and the Kumamoto Oysters which were not as fresh as they should have been. The Ooka Sashimi and the Combo 1 were excellent, as were the salads and miso soup.
The sushi is so good here and it's good every time. The apple jack roll.....I dream about it.
Sat at a table instead of hibachi for the first time. Our first waiter showed up quickly with water glasses and took our drink orders and child order and didn't come back. He expected us to know what we wanted 15 seconds after sitting down when we hadn't even opened our menus yet. Another waiter took over after my daughter's soup came and he brought my husbands soda and took our food orders. Then the first guy came back asking if we were ready to order. All the food came out except my main meal which took so long they must've forgotten to put it in or something happened to it. Sadly, while I enjoyed my hibachi noodles, I didn't like my tempura meal. But overall the second waiter was much friendlier and more attentive. We'll be sticking to the hibachi table in the future.
Greeted and taken right to our seats. Only had two menus for four people with one drink menu Took server two time to bring proper menus Felt under pressure to order since other people were sitting Hibachi grill had stuff in the rim which I have photos of So I don't eat hibachi Never got chop sticks. Took our 21 year old because she was excited to be able to do the sake with the server but that never happened. My dirty martini came out without olives or dirt it went back and came back clear with olives. Then manager had to come back with olive juice. Paid for it and never drank it. Very disappointing
The food experience is great at Ooka. Consistently fresh sushi & interesting specials are offered in a pleasant environment. But the service left a lot to be desired this visit. Empty water glasses and waiting for fresh silverware was frustrating & unusual, granted it was a busy Saturday night. I won't let that stop me from going back, just disappointing and out of character.

Excellent food and excellent service
Service is abysmal at this location. First time coming here in a few years and I have no reason to come back any time soon.
The fun began when getting seated at the habachi table. The hostess rudely pointed at the table, so we seated ourselves at the end of the counter (like one would normally do)...when she came back she yelled at us that we needed to move because the "other" family needed to sit in our seats (two families with a center seat empty). The two families laughed about the absurdity of the situation, but I let it pass.
Next bit of fun didn't involve me directly, but the other family. The mother ordered a martini, but when it came out it was almost all olive juice. She sent back the first one, only to get the second one at room temp. I'm not a martini drinker, but even I know it should be chilled. She scooped out ice from the water glass (she also had an issue with the bartender not wanting to move the bar tab to table check). Shame on you Ooka.
Next comes the waiter. Slow to order (i mean 30 minutes slow) and didn't bring the right drink order (also wrote down wrong meat temp, which the cook was able to catch in the read back). Asked for chop sticks, but had to get up and get them ourselves (10 year old really wanted them). He took away the salad my wife was eating (half was left). She literally still had the fork in her hand. Drink went empty with no refills until the end of dinner (before the check).
The saving grace is the chef...the main star of the show. But they are usually pretty good so he only saved them one star
Management should be ashamed of the waiter and bartender...it was running joke at our table. Neither family will be returning to this location.
I actually wrote this review in the restaurant...which should show you the level of frustration I have with this place.

Sorry, no good sushi photos to share. Opted for bar seating and was lucky enough to have a competent attentive bartender ( Kevin if i recollect), which has not always been the case. Sushi was fabulous as usual, and everything from cocktails to the desert was AAA.

Had the hibachi with some friends last night. Overall it was disappointing. The hibachi chef was very timid and put on a very weak show. He couldn't even deliver the standard jokes. The food was rather bland too. They really need to up their game.
