Lovely location, beautifully kept house. The hosts were gracious and knowledgeable. I particularly enjoyed the savory offerings, the ratatouille quiche was my favorite, as well as the first two tea pairings. Will definitely be back as the menu changes in the coming months.

Just had my third experience this year at Rose Cottage and today’s afternoon tea was even better than the last two 11:00 teas. I highly recommend this to everyone. My first time was with my daughters and granddaughters, the second with a girlfriend and today’s with my husband and another couple. Each time was a note worthy experience.

Today was my first time to have tea at the Rose Cottage. I’m new to the Montrose area. The food was excellent and such a variety. It happens to be chocolate month ( how did I get so lucky? ?) We had chocolate scones that were the best I’ve ever had and several other chocolate desserts after we had our little sandwiches. We had so much she gave us a box to take them home with us. The owner was a wealth of local info and knew so much about the history of the house. She was delightful and she gave us a tour of the house before we left. It was a wonderful way to spend a few hours. I will certainly go back.
