The 50s Diner in Moosic, PA, initially promises a nostalgic trip back in time with its decor and ambiance, perfectly capturing the essence of the 1950s. Unfortunately, that's where the charm ends.
Upon arriving around 2 o’clock on a Sunday afternoon, the lack of other patrons should have been a red flag. Despite the emptiness, the wait staff was inattentive and borderline rude. Instead of serving customers, they were preoccupied with playing the gambling machines. This distraction meant that we were left waiting far too long for any service.
The food, sadly, did not make up for the poor service. The burgers and chicken fingers were overcooked and bland, leaving much to be desired. The waitress delivered our food but never checked back for refills or to see if we needed anything else.
Overall, it was a highly disappointing experience. There is no excuse for the poor service, especially with no other customers in the restaurant. Whoever owns this diner should consider hiring a new chef who can cook and wait staff who actually want to serve customers rather than spend their time gambling.
In hindsight, we wish we had chosen to eat at Terry’s Diner instead. Though their ambiance might not be as charming, the food and service surely couldn’t have been worse.

Went to eat today for father's day. We walked in didnt know if we could seat ourselves or wait. We ask a waitresses she sat us in a booth. She said she did not know why there was a reservation sign on it as she didn't know of anyone who reserved a seat. They busy which is to be expected for a Sunday and father's day. A table walked out and a lady with blonde hair said something to the waitresses who looked like she was the only one working and running around. Four ppl walked in a had stated to the blonde lady that we were at thier table. The blonde lady then spoke to us like children acting like we did something wrong. We decided to leave (we never did order anything or receive any drinks bc the waitress did not come back to us yet) we have been waiting months to finally be able to try this diner. Now I believe we never will try again.

Been trying to get here since they opened and finally made it today, really great atmosphere, terrific food and fast service. We have a western omelette, a sausage omelette and a side of corn beef hash. Everything was fresh hot and delicious. My only complaint is their hours are stupid. Only open for breakfast and lunch makes it hard to go here more often.
Went in for breakfast, an hour later still didn’t have our food. We saw a table of 8 just getting their food, one person at a time, rather than the full table. We ended up leaving as we couldn’t wait any longer. We had appointments to get to. Eggs and coffee shouldn’t take that long. We left money on the table for the coffee.
Took 30 minutes to take the order people who arrived after us were already being severed, when the food arrives there was no toast and no silverware got f Got silverware frist,ate,then the toast showed up service was horrible and only five people where in there food was excellent but I won't go back because waitress staff seems like they do not care.

We went on Mothers Day and were able to get a table after a little wait. Food was good and resonably priced. Service was a little slow, but should be expected with it being Mothers Day!! Will definitely return and try some more food.
I love this place! Food was delicious! Outstanding service. Staff paid great attention to detail and were so nice!! I will definitely be back.
