We were first timers at this hidden gem in Mt. Holly. The menu is varied with specials available on the weekend. The special crab appetizer and pork chops were delicious. Service was excellent and atmosphere casual, inviting and fun.

Super nice polite professional staff very relaxed & quiet super local spot & feel. Food was kinda 80's, just meh. House Potato soup was was good. Special clam chowder for the night was great. Mini crabcakes were ok, small, atop a bed of brown letuce. Christmas Eggnogtini was good.A step back in time which is awesome, although food was nothing special.

I’ll speak purely from a bar seating perspective - Cassell’s is my favorite spot in the entire region to grab a Guinness and a burger. One of the last real bars around that checks all of the ‘Bourdain boxes’ of a good bar. It’s not loud. It’s not painted sterile white. It’s appropriately priced.Nolan & staff are always super friendly, the draft lines are always clean & ice cold, and the sandwiches are out of this world.Don’t let the facade fool you, Cassell’s is unpretentiously perfect.

We attended their Thanksgiving Buffett, and the food was very good except next time, take the rolls, cornbread, and butter out of the refrigerator a little earlier. They were cold and firm, but tasty. Whoever made the food, it was amazing!! So, we'll be back next year.
