Johnny was an excellent server and very friendly. The Prix Fixe was fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.
This was the first time we were not happy with the service. We eat there a lot. The food is very good as usual, but on Saturday 6/7/25, the service lacked big time. Here is hoping it returns to normal.
Had a reservation for a group of 10 for my bachelor party. Was looking forward to my friends being able to enjoy a nice ribeye for the special occasion.
In the leadup to the reservation, I had to decide on a prix fixe menu ($95/pp) and fill out a contract that includes a $500 cancellation fee for late cancels. Made sense that they require that for larger groups. The menu stipulates that the meal is served family style, which makes sense for the appetizers (calamari, prosciuttio, bread, etc) but I was figuring that the entree choices of ribeye, chicken, or salmon were still served as plated entrees. I was wrong - those entree proteins were all served pre-sliced, passed around family style. This goes against every other experience I've had with a prix fixe menu at a restaurant, but I guess it's my mistake for not confirming. Apart from this, Teresa, who was my point of contact for the reservation and contract discourse, was helpful and responsive.
I asked the server (Johnny) if we could get more steak, and his kneejerk response was whether or not I wanted to talk to the manager. Okay, I guess I'll talk to the manager. The manager (Anne Marie, I believe) comes out and I said we were surprised the entrees were family style, and we were wondering if we could get some more plates of steak, and her kneejerk response was to cite the contract and that I basically had no recourse. Alright, I felt I was coming to the conversation (now occurring in front of my 9 friends) with a pretty courteous attitude, and hers was rather defensive. She said we could order steaks a la carte. Alright, we didn't really want that, as we were already eating the entree's family style, but good to know, thanks.
Their attitude seemed to change after that when we ordered a $300 bottle of wine for the table. All of a sudden, things were pretty cheery.
In terms of an actual restaurant review, the family style serving left a lot to be desired - the calamari appetizer was actually mostly fried peppers and maybe zucchini with calamari mixed in. The entree was served chicken first, then a minute later salmon, then a minute later a superfluous pasta side dish, then a minute later the steak. I get it, you want to bulk things up and fill us up before we get to the steak.
The steak was served surprisingly rare - though not too rare. It was a pleasant surprise, though definitely a notch under most peoples' preferred medium rare. Coming to a restaurant named STEAK in Italian, it would have been cool for us to each get our own ribeyes.
The service was good - after that one weird moment of referring us to the manager, Johnny was knowledgable and courteous, though we did have to wait a few minutes for fresh utensils after one of the courses was served.
If I could give 2.5 stars, I would. The food itself was cooked fine, though bulked out with carbs and other filler, and the service was as fine as they had to be. Nothing stood out as excellent or a compelling reason to go back or recommend it to other folks for >$100/plate.
Meh...at best. Service was good, no complaints there.
Drinks - old fashioned and mango magarita, not great.
Food - ny strip special and bistecca filet, not great. Mashed potatoes and bread were good. Crab cake is anything but, don't bother.
Overall, not what I expected for the price point. We've had better quality meals for half the price.
Not a bad place for a casino, food was good but overpriced for the small portions though
Overpriced food that tasted average. Not bad but not fantastic
Our waitress Maria was exception! Vincent was in training and an excellent helper. It was our 16th wedding anniversary and they both made it special! The food was exceptional and outstanding and being from New York very reasonable…
Service was spectacular as well as the ambiance. Our pasta was under cooked a little but it was still a great value
Food was average with small portions and on the expensive side. Service and ambiance excellent, however.
Previously always 5 stars. Tonight my lobster was undercooked and difficult to remove from the shell. I did not complain to the staff. Our deserts took 20 minutes to arrive for some reason. We will return, because previous meals were always first class

Went for my birthday. From beginning to end the experience was great! Our server was very nice , attentive but not overly so. The food, fantastic!! Just a wonderful time!
The service was great. The food was alright but not good that I'd want to come back. The chicken parm was mushy and tough. The drinks were good. The food came out luke warm and about 5 minutes after ordering.
Fantastic food and service! Best prefix deal in the Poconos Monday to Wednesday!
Staff was exceptionally good. The food was mundane. Maybe I came on an off day.
The food and service were excellent. We ordered the chef's appetizer board to start. It served the two of us generously, full of cheeses, meats, roasted peppers and eggplant, melon, bruschetta and balsamic jam. Our entrees were lasagna and the pork shank. The server (who was wonderful and efficient) helped me decide between the pork chop and the pork shank. She was so right. The pork was fall-off-the-bone tender and absolutely delicious. We shared a slice of the ricotta pistachio cake for dessert. I'd order it again. It was light and not too sweet. The perfect ending with a cup of coffee. We were celebrating our anniversary, and the kitchen served our cake on a plate decorated with "happy anniversary" in chocolate. Very sweet and much appreciated. The atmosphere is quiet and softly lighted, with Sinatra or Deano crooning softly in the background, perfect for a leisurely dinner. No casino noise at all No bright lights. Just nice music, soft lights, a smiling server, and good food. Bistecca is by far the best food if you're in the casino, and it's worth a little drive if you're in the area.
