Awesome dinner… gift card rip-off

Our dinner was awesome, and so was the service. I was definitely aggravated that when our dinner came to $175 and we had a $200 gift certificate from our daughter, we couldn’t use the remaining $25 towards part of the tip. Our daughter paid $200 for the card, but we have never been at a Restaraunt where we couldn’t use the whole gift card balance towards the dinner and gratuity. Very frustrating.

We came for my birthday and what a fabulous experience. We were seated right by the fireplace, the ambiance was warm and cozy. Our first couse was steak tartar, which I never had. and it was surprisingly amazing. so tender and flavorful. Fir our entrée we enjoyed the poached lobster with a creamy roasted vegetable and the braised lamb shank. Our servicer was ever attentive to our needs. Our only negative was the sides we're just served at room temperature. Will definitely return!

Not a large menu but carefully curated and prepared and presented. The lamb shank with heirloom carrots was outstanding and a very large portion. The scallops were well prepared but parts of the dish were not warm. Our server was outstanding, both professional and attentive and charming as well.

I had specific notes in my reservation and not one time was our anniversary acknowledge. I had a steak and ordered mashed sweet potatoes but received reg mashed potatoes then when I received my sweet potatoes it was not hot at all. I dont know if it was because of my race or the fact that we were 2 women having an anniversary. not to mention we traveled there in a storm. the best part was the drink and salad.

We loved the food. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The risotto is a must try. The food was seasoned well. Erin was our waitress and she made our night. She was very personable and approachable. She was able to recommend how to have the steaks cooked and was very knowledgeable of the food being served. We are from out of town but my relatives live in the area. We will be returning.

The food and service was excellent. the bread basket was delicious. We split the Bolognese as it is enough for two people. this is our second time there and we will definitely be back

First course could have come out a little quicker and the desert and coffee were not very good otherwise everything else was very very good. Lovely atmosphere! Definitely going back.

Charming and cozy farmhouse fine dining. The Tomahawk steak was perfectly charred and medium rare inside. It should have been served with extra extra mashed potatoes and carrots. The extra Brussel sprouts with the bacon were really good. I'd add a bacon, syrup sauce to them. The smashed potatoes were not that good. The Gouda and Crab dip was very creamy. The pepper pot soup was the best I've ever had. Very hearty. The hummus with the cracker was awful. I would rather have fresh bread. The pumpkin Aranchi was pretty good, different. The Gelato ice cream was the worst ice cream I've had in my life. The smores cake was ok. The drinks need to be re-evaluated. I would definitely like to see a better desert menu, drinks and better sides. Overall, very good 4/5 stars.

The menu at the Water's Edge was really interesting. A lot of "standard" entrees, but with a unique twist to them. I had the pan-roasted chicken breast, but it came with beet risotto and a goat cheese sauce. And the cannoli flavor that week was Ube, which I've never seen in another restaurant. They have a rotating weekly menu of specials, which all sounded good. We went for my fiancé's birthday and they put a candle on the gelato flight he had for dessert, which I appreciated. The service and view were both really wonderful and we already talked about bringing his parents there for a nice meal and experience.
