Loukaniko (Greek Sausage) Sandwich

Loukaniko comes from the Greek word λουκάνικο which means Loukaniko... ;) this grilled specialty is a type of Greek sausage made from pork or lamb and typically flavored with orange peel, fennel seed, and various other dried herbs and seeds. It is served on a warm pita with tomato, red onion, tzatziki, and parsley! Thank goodness for so many Greek words!

Found The Greek Shack traveling from Scranton to SC. What a great find! Food was delicious. We had a lamb gyro and a chicken gyro, also a side of the zucchini balls with tenyki. They have bottled greek tea from Greece. We had the lemon and mint. Delish! Will be back!

I travel to Mountain Top for my job and always make a stop here, never got disappointed for the food or for the service, please make yourself a favor and try the baklava, you’ll thank me for this recommendation
