Great place to take the family! From grandparents to my feral 2 year old, the young and old can appreciate the glory that is the soup and salad bar and the inevitable ice cream sundae mess at the end.Heck I even celebrated my 30th birthday here!Hoss's is an American treasure ?

Steak was full of gristle. That happens but when I mentioned it server checked with manager who said that's how those steaks are. Didn't even have the courtesy to come out and tell me in person. Had server do it. Service was good. Managers attitude was more an issue than the steak.

Upon finding out that my husband never experienced Hoss's Hoss-pi-tality ? , and simultaneously realizing that due to unexpected major plumbing repairs, our planned getaway for our leap year anniversary, we made the obvious choice of correcting the first issue. He had no idea what to expect and was delighted with the 90s atmosphere (minus the smoking section, RIP- just not quite the full experience without it). I showed him the lay of the land with exploring the salad bar, ordering steak, and topping it off with the sundae bar. As we were cackling and canoodiling, we explained to our sweet server, who then brought out a little cheesecake dessert with a candle and commemorative hoss's glasses. It was every bit as goofy and kind as we try to be. It was as I remembered from childhood. I didn't catch our server's name, but please- give that gal a raise!
