I was traveling for work and broke down in their parking lot. They went out of their way first offering to scan my van to see what was wrong. Then bringing me water and sandwiches while i waited for recovery vehicle. Food was as great as the people!!
I'm from Memphis, one of the big BBQ cities. I wouldn't call this bbq. It was cooked pork, not smoked. Not pulled, sliced. I told them I wanted slaw and not relish. It was supposed to come with sauce, but was dry. I ordered potato salad, but got macaroni salad. I will say that macaroni salad was ok.
Stookey's does what Stookey's has always done. They serve a consistently delicious bbq sandwich. Of course, their menu has expanded considerably over the last three generations. The service was great, the staff very friendly.
