The best bakery in the area for pastries! Everything is delicious and crunchy the way it needs to be! Note they are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Friendly staff, I love this shop, but it's dangerous for my diet

Frozen pastries? I've been coming to Le Petit Mitron since Rick Nichols wrote his 2001 review praising them to the skies and I can vouch for the fact that they, too, froze their pastries. I can also vouch for the fact that Angela and Andrew have made spectacular use of the baton Patrick and Isabelle passed to them, adding canneles to the mix. I can also vouch for the fact that their pastries (like LPM's) freeze well. I buy in bulk and always buy over 100 dollars worth on every visit, as many pastries as will fit in my freezer. If it's a nice day I'll have a few to eat outside with my daughter with a cup of their excellent Herman's coffee.

OMG! Gotta try their granola, tasteful but subtle cinnamon in between, which I paired with milk and honey, that's insanely incredible!!!! Do not miss it, and don't compare it with any expensive brands, they are unbeatable.

we bought a few pastries on friday. While most were quickly eaten and enjoyed by my family, I saved 1/2 of an almond croissant. After three days still sublime!

Don’t have any pictures because we gobbled up the desserts the second we saw them. Highly recommend this little bakery! Perfect balance of flavours and textures in each cake!

Everything we've had taste great. One thing I'd like to see is more chocolate in the croissants. It (chocolate croissant) had a 1/2" x 3" x 1/8" strip of chocolate on the bottom of a big "Chocolate Croissant". More please, would be nice.On another note, the Doughknot with pumpkin filling was really good. And it was FILLED very full and nice.... kinda like I would hope a chocolate croissant to be.

The best pastries on the Main line. Tried one of each. They were all delicious. Croissants were excellent. The best. Treat yourself.

OMG! Love this place! I live in Maryland so I only get to this bakery when I visit my family in PA. Their croissants are perfect and their canneles are amazing. Really authentically French! Hope to get back here soon!

This is the BEST bakery in this area!!!! No joke everything I had so far was delicious. My absolute favorite is their eclair and pistachio tart. It's so hard to find eclairs with rich and flavorful cream inside but ones they make check all the boxes for me. Their croissants and other pastries are always really fresh. I feel like the prices are very reasonable. It's similar to a lot of the cafes around this area. The cashiers are always very helpful and sweet. There aren't places to sit inside which can be the only downfall of this bakery. However there are cute chairs and tables outside where u can sit when it's nice out.
