The Royal remains a mystery as to how a food place can make so many mistakes in a repeated fashion over a six-month window----wrong orders served to us at a table, no onions requested and extra fried onions, dressing on the side and so far on the side that it cannot be found----substitutions allowed and encouraged because customer satisfaction remains the top priority, don't want fries, take a salad and then their coleslaw appears. . . a bitter concoction of cabbage, watery mayonnaise, and too much vinegar. Wrong, how can we make it up? Caution the waiter about an oddball request or unique ask, it matters not, the wrong items hardly affect him----he utters the chant, "we will fix it.' When remains the question, the help has no area centered tables, they move aimlessly and the servers, bless those smiling faces, frequently show up at the incorrect table with your meal. Like a little Covid breath on your grub, no problem. A deep and noteworthy comment offered to the server or waiter or waitress, Andrew the manager appears, hardly the poster child for community marketing, round shouldered and weak chinned---he flounders on the easiest observations and remains a portfolio of excuses, alibis, and explanations. On to the food, okay, not great----expensive for what you receive, portion control at its optimum. The cheeseburgers are salty and slippery, the salads are usually decent, avoid the pizza----they have a few good specials, fish and chips, and pulled chicken. The Sunday brunch was and is a detailed rip off and the fresh orange juice rivals anything Minute Maid can do. Closed for a few weeks, a real delight and blessings come in all sizes, the entertainment sounds like like Yekkle and Jerry crying in the alley, the cocktails are average, and the desserts are quite mediocre with questionable ingredients.

We went there before they decided to close the restaurant, two women were eating in bra and we could totally see their boobs ... very inappropriate for a family restaurant! We could not believe no one say nothing to them. Also we feel like food was not as good as it used to be.

Scumbag for an owner. But, great managers, staff and food

I had a reservation for a large party for a baby shower. Less than 2 days before the event, the restaurant decided to temporarily close, after having had a normal dinner service the night before. With zero notice, I don't know how I'll reschedule. I highly doubt they just decided on a whim to close. If the owners knew that this was their plan, why not give your customers a heads up? You "royally" screwed us over by not being upfront. **Update** The owner did reach out to offer use of his space although could not provide full service with food. I appreciate his effort and commitment to trying to do the right thing, given the confines of whatever the situation is at the restaurant (even with the follow-up ask to remove this review).

This was our 3rd visit and every time we visited this place it gets progressively worse. This our last and final time. I ordered roasted vegetables they were out than we ordered Narbeth poutine which is fries with gravy and cheese they were of the ingredients to make the dish. It gets better then I ordered Asian salad with salmon no salmon and no Asian salad our guest who is a vegetarian ordered salmon on a Caesar salad no salmon. I ordered a Gray goose on the rocks I received vodka up, I ordered an espresso after dinner I received a cappuccino. Unfortunately will never come back.

We had a pleasant experience there. We had different egg dishes and the portions were large. Everything was fresh and tasty.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. We ate in the tent next to the restaurant. The noise level was so high it made the experience uncomfortable. Between the fan located over our table and the volume of the music being played by the entertainer It was impossible to follow the conversation with our party across the table from us. The food was fine. The hamburgers were well prepared, but the chicken sandwich was overcooked. We definitely appreciated the opportunity to to sit in a tent which protected us from the downpour that evening.

Food was so good, and drinks was too. Staff was friendly. We had Samuel as are waiter and he was super helpful with the food and drink selection since it was our first time there. I had the Mexican Caesar salad w/ adding grilled chicken which was super flavorful and my sister had the fried chicken sandwich was was good too. I will be coming back again.

We had a lovely experience dining at Royal Cafe Narberth: we chose to eat dinner outside and wound up seated under the large tent erected in a portion of their parking lot. The weather was as cool as a standard late-July evening, so we were happy for the nearby fan (there were fans throughout the tent). Service was friendly, generally prompt, and servers were masked. I loved that the drinks were served with stainless-steel straws! We shared three appetizers: (1) the Trashed Ribs (four smoked & fried spare ribs tossed in a sweet & spicy sauce); (2) a 12-piece Royal Wings (gluten-free chicken wings tosses in house-made buffalo sauce and served with blue cheese); and (3) Bacon & Cheese Fries (hand-cut fries). Highly recommend the Trashed Ribs and the Royal Wings--perfect sauces--almost regretted not getting more wings (except we would have been too full from everything we ordered for the table), though we could have skipped the fries--the bacon and cheese were tasty, but took away their crispness. We shared two pizzas, one red and one white: (1) the red Murder Hornet (san marzano tomato sauce, calabrian soppressata, mozzarella, drizzled with local (spicy) honey) and (2) the white Magic Mushroom (exotic mushrooms, roasted garlic, truffle oil, mild provolone, mozzarella). They were both fantastic, though my taste buds gravitated toward the Murder Hornet--the spicy honey is no joke! For dessert, two of us splurged on Ben & Jerry's ice cream sundaes (a truck was parked at the edge of the parking lot!) and one indulged in an espresso martini (her first, and now her new go-to drink!). We will definitely be back!

This place is fantastic! 1st time here, hope to return soon. Food (hamburger and fries) were cooked perfectly and came to the table actually hot. Liz, our waitress was cordial and accurate with our order. Music wasn't too bad either. A real plus is all servers are vaccinated.
