Booked a private gathering (40+ people) with Macaluso’s a few months ago. From start to finish their staff did a great job. I don’t write reviews often but when I do they are deserving. Pricing was reasonable and the food was awesome. Thank for your attention to detail and an awesome meal.

HERE'S MY REVIEW CONCERNING THAT MACALUSO'S RESTAURANT THAT TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME: I applied for a job as a HOSTESS and gave them my resume in which I stated clearly I can no longer handle my former expertise of chef or bartender due to physical limitations after breaking my back twice. I am also a recently widowed single Mama of my special needs 11 yr old child and must be careful not to take on more than I can handle. Upon the interview, I reiterated these things as well as the fact that I am just coming back on the scene concerning work after 6 yrs of recovery from the broken back and still recovering from the second break in my back. Not to mention, I have degenerative bone disease and am trying to be very transparent about my desire to fulfill a work8ng opportunity to care for my child and get off social security as I feel I am capable aslong as I don't overcommit to something that I may not be able to fulfill. I did not feel I should have needed to disclose the fact that one of the other critical reasons I don't believe I should tend bar is because I am 15 yrs clean and don't feel comfortable. However, I was hired for the hostess position and went in for my first shift Thursday, October 3,2024 at 3 pm. I was given the tax paperwork and other forms to fill out and an employee handbook and given a walk through of the dining room. But the manager,Stephanie, disappeared and never brought me mytshirt or finished orientation. The bartender, Gina (or Jheanna?) said,"I'm a terrible trainer, when I get busy I may seem rude" and suddenly I was being told to make drinks and take food orders as diners flooded the patio. Naturally, I assumed I was simply to follow orders until the manager came back. But after a few hours went by, and the bartender said multiple times, "I'm not teaching you, you need to figure it out" in several different rude ways, and the servers rolling their eyes snatching tickets from my fingers, clearly I was not welcome - and me fumbling thru orders it was suddenly 9pm and I was told I could leave by the other bartender. Mind you,I handled the entire 6 hours like a champ regardless of my physical limitations and with a smile on my face - you know why? Because my work ethics and experience trained me to do whatever it takes to keep the ship afloat and work alongside the crew as a well oiled machine without question… I assumed that because it was the final night the patio was open, I had to just learn as I went through the night and I would get more in depth training the next shift. You know, because I was not hired to be nor did I apply to be a BARTENDER. I was hired to be and applied for a HOSTESS position. Also, I was scoffed because I couldn't remember what recipe was what for drink orders, nor could I get my bearings when trying to remember white liquors, dark liquors, different wines, new beer names, etc. You know why? Because I have not been a bartender in 15 years (I kept saying 10 yrs but I did the math),and, just incase I need to reiterate - I didn't apply for nor was I hired to be a BARTENDER. I applied for and was hired to be a HOSTESS. I naturally, Idid whatever I had to as a crew member regardless of whether I fully knew how/where or not - The next day, I called ahead of time as I was walking out the door to take my child to my friends house so I could go to work, and Stephanie told me there was a miscommunication (again) between she and the other manager and they already hired a bartender who was "faster than me and could keep up." I had planned to discuss the inappropriate actions and bartender confusion and ask why I was faced with performing bartender duties, I confronted her which she acted aloof and blew me off! I made sure to mention the fact that I applied to be and was hired for a HOSTESS position not a BARTENDER posituon. She handed me $40 and none of my tips from the 3 or 4 diners I served and closed out. So, now I lost out on the other 3 places I had opportunities to work at as a HOSTESS and have been tho

The food and service were both great. I had the Veal Paperdelle Bolognese which was absolutely delicious. The chicken Parm was a huge portion that was also delicious.

The food was way too expensive and they're using a boxed cheap spaghetti noodles, not even homemade. Supposed to be an Italian restaurant. The drinks were outrageous. priced and the staff were very unprofessional when it came to takin your order. They were very rude about it. So if you want to eat slob food go there
