Had reservations for 5:30. Was ignored until I got up and asked for service. Waited for drinks another 15 minutes. Went to bar to get our drinks myself. Finally ordered and then waited another hour for salad which we never got. We decided to leave and were told not to worry about our bar bill. Three hours later received a call threatening us with the police for an unpaid bar bill. Very unprofessional and sad. Never again.

Went to eat with family and friends! Food was great! I recommend anything at the restaurant! Service was on spot. Will definitely go again!

We went a week or so ago! The atmosphere was very pleasant! The food was delicious and right on point! We enjoyed the Risotto balls and the steak special! The steak was done to perfection! We recommend visiting this establishment! It will not disappoint!

The worst ever since it was sold. Had reservations, waited 20 minutes and had to ask for a server. Then waited an hour for salad which we never got . Had to actually go to the bar for drinks ourselves. We were disgusted and upon leaving we were told not to worry about our bar tab. Three hours later, my husband is threatened with a lawsuit over a $30 tab that we didn't pay. Never again.

Food is good; music is not. Do not eat here if there is live music. Too loud. Also, the music is not very good.

We had a party and ordered food from Macaluso's, I have to say we were VERY disappointed. The order was wrong, ordered penne ala vodka got rigatoni with sauce, ordered lemon chicken, got chicken Macaluso-the chicken looked like it was the processed stuff from a bag. When the new owner was contacted he did not seem to care and was argumentative and said the order was correct. I would not order for a party again.

Food: 5. The food was delicious and a surprise among the bars and fast food places in the area. The pork wasnt over cooked like it usually is ordering it out. Chicken saltimbocca was moist. Be aware the salad is dressed already with balsamic dressing.Ambience: 3I was absolutely puzzled why there was only outdoor seating on a patio though and this wasn't indicated on the website. I would have preferred indoor seating because it is extremely loud and the tables are 50 feet from a highway - it's loud, like airport runway loud. There are also flies. Not the experience I was looking for in an anniversary meal.

I clicked on 4 then gave them 5 - all because of Sheri outer server and the really nice lady at FOH! In town for the night to see Buckcherry at Penns Peak. Walked around Jim Thorpe downtown and what struck me was the lack of dining options. My beautiful wife (who's family comes from the other side of Maunch Chunk said "let's cruise up the road I think there's a place! Due to everybody's circumstance, it seems the restaurant had to pivot to an outdoor space; but it's a great space! The incredibly sweet lady asked if we had reservations, we said no; she said that's ok, I'll get you in! We spoke to her a couple times that night, what a nice lady. Anyways, our server Sheri (hope I spelled it right) came over and another incredibly nice person. You can tell a lot about how a restaurant is run by the demeanor of the staff and everybody is aces. we had: calamari appetizer, ahi tuna appetizer, artichoke and crab special and meatball and scamutz (look it up). Four stars for food, extra star for the ladies who took care of us!!!

I went to this place for dinner and was going to order a Smashburger I asked how I should have it done if I didn't want any pink the bartender said a medium well so I said OK I asked for ketchup and mustard they brought out Dijon mustard I said do you have any yellow mustard they said no I said do you have any pickles they said no so finally the burger out and it's pink inside and I said I don't really want that I ordered was no pink inside just give me spaghetti and meatballs so then the The owner comes marching out and starts arguing with me about the fact that the burger was cooked medium well so finally I say just give me the bill and the bartender gives me the bill and wraps of the burger for me to take home that was cooked how I didn't want it to be cooked she said I can't take it off unless she authorizes it so she goes back and talk to the owner who is on says no absolutely not and makes the bartender pay for the burger if I want it off of there. I then said do whatever you have to do this isn't how I ordered it and I'm not paying for it and I'm going to leave a negative review and they said no don't do that but still refused to take it off the service was terrible the owner was argumentative and then came out and argued with me again in front of customers I do not recommend this place it's very unprofessional Additionally I should add they clearly don't know what a Smashburger is because this was a normal burger patty so quite clearly they don't know what they're doing.

Amazing food... i had the chefs seasonal special of Blue cheese stuffed fresh figs wrapped in Prosciutto Panko stuffed chicken ( sausage spinach). The other people in my party had Lemon artichoke chicken over cappillini Lobster special and fresh catch of the day special. The the drinks were great The service excellent I highly recommend Pricing is very fair for the quality of food! We also stayed at the cozy attached lodge.... Our view out of room 17 was breath taking... It was clean- 2 double beds with bathroom and closet.... No coffee pot so bring your ownwe did and sat out front enjoing watching the fog rise out of the Lehigh Valley Gorge We will be back.!!!!!

The food was good. For the most part the portions were size able. The menu could be expanded to include more choices. It would help if the specials were written down. We had a party of 14 people and everything was on one bill, so we had to figure out what everyone owed.

This was has great food and awesome drinks. Menu had a variety of dishes. The staff are friendly and are tentative. They offer smaller portions which is great. The desserts, which we had crème burlee was yummy.

I really want to love this local restaurant. It's a great location from often over-crowded Jim Thorpe eateries and the chef here is well known to be awesome. The food is great, the drinks are good, the atmosphere is slightly outdated but still charming and quaint. It's the menu I take issue with as it has next to nothing for those with food sensitivities or meat aversions. I've been here twice and will give it one more chance and will update this review later.

If I could, I wouldn't give any stars for this business. We're out of town for the holidays so we reserved a room five days in advance. We get to the "lodge" and the place was closed. (We were 30 minutes early for our check-in) He realized he had a missed call while on the turnpike, and returned it. A woman from Macaluso's told him his card didn't go through and that they went home because it's Christmas Eve. First off, there wasn't a problem with the card, it works fine. Secondly, it's extremely inconsiderate to call a booked guest the day of (2 and half hours before check-in) to tell them that the reservation has been canceled. If the card was denied, they had 5 days to notify him. Amazing holiday spirit. She said she sent an email, she didn't. I strongly suggest that if you make a reservation with this place, either have a back up option or call them everyday to confirm.
