The moment we walked in you are going to be greeted with warm smiles
I’ve been seeing their posts in a local Facebook group and I have been meaning to come out here and try!
Ordered the half chicken combo and asked the cashier, what’s the most popular sides since I am visiting for the first time.
So I’ve got the arroz jardinero, their mash potato spinach which is popular back home and the plantains
Will report later since I’ve bought and did a take out instead
So good! Don Hector sandwich was spectacular, i will def be back. Also the staff was super freindly. Highly recommended.
Food was fresh and delicious!
I've been buying from this restaurant for over 6 months. It's always been good, but today everything was bad. I don't know if they've changed chefs, but the chicken today was old and horrible tasting. Only tasted like rosemary, the chaufa rice was undercooked, and the butifarra, which is a cold sandwich , was packaged with the hot chicken and came in very bad condition.
1st time going here. Food was FANTASTIC! Service was excellent, and staff was very friendly. I highly recommend giving them a try.
Actually 2 1/2 because the food is just edible. Don't know if it's new, but it looks clean, staff was polite, didn't see any Peruvians or anyone who spoke spanish. Every restaurant in this area is rated 4.3 stars and above??? 🤔
Anyways I've had Peruvian food before in Elizabeth NJ and Hectors place's food is edible but not authentic just some generic copy of a real Peruvian kitchen, too many words but I think you get the message. Just my opinion try for yourself 😊
Service was great. Price was fair and food was excellent. Can't ask for much more. I'll be going back here frequently.
Food is good but I’m bummed that the chicken is marinated in beer (and not gluten free as we were originally told it was). Hopefully they are able to fix this asap!
Its alright. Ask for the green sauce. The aji Pollo is basically mayonnaise.
Amazing chicken and a wide array of outstanding sides. Even empanadas. One of the best things you can eat in Chalfont.
Restaurantji Recommends
Based on a positive review on Nextdoor, I ordered lunch today from Don Hector Peruvian Rotisserie (pork sandwich, half-chicken dinner, sweet potato fries, mixed green salad, macaroni and cheese). Everything was packed in environmentally sensitive, recyclable packaging, and the food was uniformly excellent. I am a first time customer, but I will certainly become a frequent customer!
Our family loves this restaurant! We get takeout weekly. The Peruvian chicken and sides are incredible. Some of our favorites are the roasted potatoes, arroz chaufa (fried rice) and mac n cheese. The service is always top notch and the owners are very kind!! Highly recommended!!
So glad we found this place, the chicken was juicy, chaufa and plantains were sooo good!
First timer review so take it for what its worth..
Chicken - soft and moist, but didn't really feel like any dazzling flavor that would set it apart from a good store brand rotisserie.
Fried Rice - nothing to rave about and the veggies in it seemed not thoroughly cooked
Plantains - These I really enjoyed and they gave you a good portion as well as a side.
Aji Pollo sauce- more on the creamier side and I needed to add a little heat to it
All in all, service was good portions were decent, but just didn't think it deserved another visit.
From the fresh rolls, to the sauces, everything is made in house and fresh, and you can tell! We are local and have been meaning to stop by and try their food, it is absolutely fresh and delicious, you won't be disappointed! We will be back for their 48hr marinated chicken, that is spit roasted over an charcoal imported grill from Peru.
