We've eaten here a couple times. The first time was several months ago, and we had a nice experience. The food had been a pleasant surprise, the salad bar had been well stocked and included with the meal, and while the place looked a bit run down, the atmosphere had been comfortable. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago when we returned, it was a different experience. The food was less than mediocre. The salad bar was no longer included, and I wasn't about to pay an extra $5 for a poorly stocked and practically barren salad bar. The waitress was pleasant, at least, but it wasn't enough to raise our experience. We will not be returning.

The owners should be grateful that my family and I chose to bring them business, instead they chose to be disrespectful and point and laugh at my elderly father because he can't walk very well! so very ignorant and inappropriate! please learn to treat others better and be kind!
My family and I stopped there while at At the Hershey show. We ordered and my elderly father,(which just had a knee replacement) got up nd proceeded to the restroom- as he walks with a limp(he is awaiting surgery on the other knee) the owner and her daughter was laughing and pointing at the way my father walked. I asked the waitress(an older lady that was a very good waitress and very kind) if those disrespectful people were the owners- because they were going behind the counter...she stated that they were. I advised her what this owners did and she apologized, needless to say it should not have been her job to apologize,I apologized in return for her to have to work for such ignorant individuals!! I hope when the get to be my father's age ,they don't have knee problems and walk with an imperfection! OR maybe karma can make them even worse off! It's ashame they were not raised properly! Never make fun of someone with problems!! As for the food..mediocre at best! Find somewhere else to spend your money, as these ingratitude don't deserve your hard earned dollar.
Best food I've had in a long time. Homemade, fresh and fast to the table. Amazing salad bar including dolmates, cucumber salad? Never saw either one at a salad bar before but boy are they good. Can't say enough good things except I am going to come back for more. 5 stars!

Was served SPOILED chicken Alfredo. The Alfredo sauce was very spoiled. The server said they pulled it off the line after kitchen staff tasted it and confirmed it was spoiled. Absolutely disgusting!!!!

Beacon Hill Restaurant in New Cumberland is such a hidden gem!
Avocado Eggs Benedict with hash browns was only $13 and tasted amazing. The steak & eggs breakfast with toast and potatoes was just $16 — so generous and well cooked.
What truly made the experience unforgettable was the kindness of every single server. Everyone was warm, attentive, and welcoming. I left with a full stomach and a happy heart. Definitely coming back!

PLEASE NOTE THE REVIEWS FOR THIS PLACE ARE FROM THE PREVIOUS RESTAURANT AND NOT THE NEW ONE!! This review is for the new restaurant with new “owners”. John’s Diner was so much better!!
Not allergy friendly. The “owner” is very unwilling to accommodate allergy needs at least. And the waiters who stayed from John’s Diner are great. But the new ones they are hiring are not. The one we had yesterday disrespectful comments about my brother being adopted. And then went and told her manager not to accommodate my gluten allergy so we walked out. I don’t recommend this place if you need to modify your meal at all.

I got the salmon platter and it was delicious. I'm pleased to see this restaurant still has a salad bar.
