We were staying at a hotel in Harrisburg foe a few days to participate to the Mecum Auctions and the breakfast was really bad, so we looked for a place to have breakfast on our way the Auctions. And Carpe Diem popped up. I read the reviews, checked the neighborhood and the area seemed calm with plenty of street parking. We decided to give it a chance. Google still had street view pictures of the previous business which didn't help. When we arrived, the place was really nice and updates with some small trees on the front which made that place much more inviting. That day was pretty quiet, we picked a table and the owner Nino took care of us. He is really nice. You can see what we ordered on the pictures and we made a couple of substitutions that Nino had no issues with. Everything was good. But what I couldn't get over was how nicely remodeled the inside was, the hallway to the bathroom, the one to the outdoor patio on the back, etc. Tastefully done. We chatted with Nino and he indicated that he also had bedrooms for rent and that the breakfast was free for the renters. He has a really good thing going on, he works hard and it's paying off. I recommend Carpe Diem to anyone and I am sure the bedrooms are great based on how everything else is well put together. When we will go back in that area to enjoy Hershey Park, we will probably stay there.

Grabbed breakfast with wife, ordered seafood omelet, with homemade pancakes potatoes and bread. Wife ordered French toast and bacon. Food and service exceeded my expectations I was extremely impressed with the quality of the food and service.

Owner was so welcoming! The food came out quickly and tasted great. My only regret was not being able to return for dinner.
Me and my husband originally are from Lexington Kentucky and we were driving here for a wedding and decided to stop for breakfast and did not expect the great atmosphere and breakfast. Also, the owner is such a genuine man and genuinely wants people to enjoy their time at this restaurant. Not only that the area is very clean even the bathrooms. I 110% recommend this place for any and all!!
