We’ve been loyal patrons of Carpe Diem for a few years now, and it all started when we were searching for a new breakfast spot. Luckily, we stumbled upon this hidden gem in New Cumberland, and from the moment we walked in, we knew we had found something special. The beautiful décor and relaxing atmosphere set the perfect tone, and to our delight, the owner, Nino, personally waited on us. His warmth, friendliness, and genuine hospitality made us feel right at home.

That first visit was unforgettable—our breakfast was absolutely delicious, and we knew we had found our new go-to spot. Since then, we’ve enjoyed many lunches and occasional dinners, and I can truly say that every dish we’ve tried has been outstanding. Nino’s passion for his food, his restaurant, and his customers shines through in every detail, ensuring that each visit is a wonderful experience.

Most recently, I celebrated my birthday in a private room with family and friends, and Nino and his incredible staff went above and beyond to make it a truly special occasion. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality made the evening unforgettable.

If you’re looking for exceptional food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a team that genuinely cares about your experience, Carpe Diem is the place to be. Thank you, Nino and team, for consistently making every visit a delight!

Once again, I’m utterly taken back with the quality of service and food. Me and some of my friends were really hungry and we headed into carpe diem 30 minutes before they closed. Inconsiderate of us I know- we won’t do that again. The owner took us in no questions asked, the server was happy to help us! Even though we came in late they still provided us with the best possible service and hospitality. I am always so happy when I leave. The food was terrific as well. I asked for the hummus wrap (which I will be getting every single time now) I asked if the chef could put chicken in the wrap and he happily obliged. In the end he wished us well with nothing but a smile on his face. THANK YOU carpe diem!

Everything about our experience was excellent. We were in town for 3 days and found this place. Nino is a sweetheart and we loved him after the first day. The food is so good that we took some to go back to NY. We definitely will be back even if it's just to eat here. We will even excuse the guy in the Cowboys hat.

Go Bills! 💙🏈♥️

Nino was AMAZING! This restaurant was the best we’ve had in the area in a long time! We showed up with 13 people and accommodated without any issues!!

Ordered two Turkey, Bacon, Cheddar sandwiches.

Well, no cheddar, no mayo, and NO TURKEY. Bread was rock hard.

And they added Fries for $2.00 each sandwich. We asked for chips.

Won’t be going back.

EDIT: change from 1 star to 3 star. The owner voided the entire meal. That’s good customer service.

They allow our breakfast prayer group on Saturday mornings at 10. We feel welcome, not like a different restaurant that made us feel bothersome. Their hospitality, service and prices are wonderful.

Just visiting for the weekend and saw on yelp This restaurant had great ratings so we wanted to try it out. We got to the restaurant. It was very neat and cleaned looking nice atmosphere and very friendly service. When the coffee came the cup had lipstick still on the cup. I ordered her two eggs, bacon, and pancakes, The food came out, and the bacon was burned and tasted Old, like it had been sitting there. The pancakes were gummy and when I went to get syrup because there was none given to me, I grabbed it from one of the other tables and it had bug flying around in the bottle. My son ordered a omelette that was Listed on the special for the morning, which had Broccoli. We were told that they Ran out of of broccoli So he asked for spinach as back up and they had no spinach so they put cauliflower and his omelette, which turned out to be pretty nasty. Their homemade bread was dry and hard. There's no better.l The manager did take off My son's meal from the check.
