I love coming here, but wish they’d improve on staffing and updating the bar area.
This place has huge potential…we love the food…it’s just lacking on atmosphere.

My experience at this restaurant was nothing short of alarming. I ordered a rare steak, and what I was served was not rare by any standard used in any kitchen. The steak I received was raw on the inside ( which understandable, I have been ordering my steaks raw my entire life) but it gets to a point where it was also raw on the outside, not undercooked, not lightly cooked, but almost entirely uncooked. If you didn’t know, not fully searing the outside of a steak, makes it impossible to kill off any exterior bacteria, which is the absolute minimum requirement for serving steak safely.

It is extremely concerning that a restaurant would serve meat in this condition. When a steak is raw on the outside, it means the most basic safety standards were ignored. This is not a matter of preference or doneness. This is a matter of food safety, training, and competence.

Within hours, I became sick, dealing with severe stomach discomfort and nausea. I have never been made ill by a rare steak before, and this experience was completely unacceptable.

Restaurants have a responsibility to handle food safely. Serving meat this undercooked shows a serious lack of oversight and raises questions about what is happening in that kitchen. This was not a simple mistake, it was a dangerous one.

I will not be returning, and I would strongly caution anyone considering eating here. If a restaurant cannot execute something as basic as properly searing the exterior of a steak, customers deserve to know. This was one of the most disappointing and concerning dining experiences I’ve ever had.

Food was great. Our steaks were huge and cooked perfectly! This place is like going back in time, it's unpretentious and laid back. The menu is simple and straightforward. Our server was very attentive and we enjoyed a delicious meal.

Steak was overcooked and unseasoned which is how they serve all their steaks. Seems odd to me but make sure to ask for it seasoned if that’s what you like. I got the special which was a steak and crab cake. Salad was extremely small but the dressing was excellent.

I use to eat here years ago and decided to stop for a great steak dinner.... I was dissappointed the bread was AMAZING, the steak was thick and unseasoned and the salad was simple...the dressing was great. But it just wasn't the steak I thought id get. My server was good but that was about it.

Food was nothing special, but was pretty good. Atmosphere was rustic and is in need of an update. Prices were a bit high for quality and atmosphere. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Visited because of the raving reviews and boy that was a mistake. Service was pretty non-existent, every time she visited the table she forgot something else, reaching over our table in front of our guests to clear the table have the vibe that there is no formal hospitality/service training or standards.
No accountability for mistakes or the fact that everyone was unhappy with their meal.
Everyone’s meal was inconsistent and subpar and when brought to the waitress attention, there was no resolve, only met with a defensive attitude.
Porterhouse steak was cooked inconsistently, no flavor, and tough, Mac and cheese was pretty scary to look at, let alone eat, pretty sure the stewed tomatoes where from a can and plopped into a tiny bowl, the list goes on.
Atmosphere looked nice but the tables were so tiny with no space to put anything.

Anyways, overall it was $100 to learn I will never visit here again, the reviews are probably paid for or that no one knows what good food tastes like. This place was embarrassing to say the least. Please save yourself the disappointment and dine elsewhere.

Had a reservation for a party of 4. Unfortunately everyone was disappointed and to be honest this has to be the worst dining experience we ever had. My husband ordered Porterhouse steak which supposed to be a cut from the short loin of a cow, featuring both a strip steak and a large portion of tenderloin (filet mignon) separated by a T-shaped bone. The filet mignon part was simply cut off. Stake itself was overly salty and server forgot his side dish. He only got it towards the end of everyone else’s meal.
I ordered two crab cakes with the side of brussels and mac n cheese. I love brussels, but it was simply disgusting. Mac n cheese was something you would expect to get in a hospital. Ughhhhhh… and the crab cakes were the worst crab cakes I’ve ever had. I love trying crab cakes in different places, and these weren’t just not great, I simply couldn’t finish them. The bottom of them was undercooked and just mushy. Mind you they were $38.
The service was poor too. She mixed up our appetizers (to be fair she didn’t charge for the one she brought to us by mistake), we waited forever for the second round of drinks and she still forgot my husband’s beer. She didn’t apologize for any of the hiccups and when I expressed my dislike to the crab cakes she seemed almost offended, and said “they are award winning”. She said she will discuss it with the kitchen, but never said a word it and I still paid $38 for something I barely ate half of.
Later she mixed up things on our checks, and while it wouldn’t be a big deal in another scenario, in this case it was just another thing to add to the list of disappointments. Absolutely never coming back.
