We had dinner here but it is now called the Beacon Hill Diner. It was close to the Holiday Inn Express where we stopped on our way to the beach. Food was very good and portions were plentiful. Nothing fancy but good sandwiches and onion rings which we shared. Our server was excellent very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend.

After a very disappointing experience at the Pizza Hut across the street (we walked out), we went to John's Diner. My wife and both ordered a salad with steak. The salad consisted of 90% lettuce, plus the meat. We were seated under a ceiling fan, but upon asking for a table without an arctic breeze, we were told the other tables were not better. So we ate and froze. Until a cleaning woman fired up a vacuum cleaner and very thoroughly and intensely vacuumed the carpet around us. Not really conducive to a quiet meal. We finished up quickly and got out as fast as possible. Because it was close to closing time, our impression was they were happy to see us leave.

Good place to relaxing and enjoy you time and food need to improve the food prices and the variety but overall it was a good place to eat ?

Outside shrubbery very overgrown and not a verygood atmosphere while entering. Waitress didn't get our order right and only a few customers. We didn't know rolls came with diner until we heard another waitress offer rolls to her customers. My husband didn't like his chicken
down. My husband said not going there anymore.

Our waitress was extremely nice & helpful. The place is well outdated & in desperate need of a clean out! Environment was quite with afew other customers. Once our food was brought out (a longer than needed wait time) the flies were ridiculous! There was a good amount of them around us, so we took the food to go. We asked for crispy bacon & homefries, both came out soft. My husband's steak was to be medium it was wellll done!We were looking for a good sit down restaurant, since we are on the road in a semi all week, which this place obviously was not? food was average but not worth the $40/ 2 breakfast meals & 2 sodas ?‍♀️

Classic diner feel. Great attentive service. The crab cakes were delicious! The chocolate chip pancakes had the perfect amount of chips and were fluffy and buttery. Hash browns needed seasoning and the sausage was somehow really dry.

The steak special is quite a price deal and is always good! Meatloaf and broasted chicken are also really good. Sometimes, there is too much staff drama going on in earshot of customers, which I find annoying and inappropriate.
