I grew up in PA and I know what shoo fly pie should taste like and this ain't it. Tasted more like cinnamon and no molasses flavor. This was more like shoo fly pie lite. Bought it in TN at an Amish/Mennonite market.

Bought a shoofly pie. Not sure what's going on with it there's hardly any molasses in it at all. It was just a dry cake. Don't know if this How you're making them now. Or if this was just a bad one ? Or this is how you're making them now? See attached picture.

Girlfriend bought a pumpkin roll to suprise me. Was so disappointed! 1st was dry not moist at all. 2nd for the price and taste could have bought 3 from the local store. Do not recomend.

Tried the pumpkin roll, it was gross and cheap low quality ingredients! No flavor, why bakeries insist on using low quality low cost ingredients, then charge you an arm an a leg for something I could do for $4 a roll and still profit! Pumpkin rolls are supposed to have cloves, ginger, all spice, nutmeg, cinnamon, and pumpkin spice. I've personally made pumpkin rolls myself and they are supposed to be 12 inches, 1 foot and no shortening or gross lard in the icing/filling, thats just gross and bakeries really need to stop that! They sell a 23 oz, 7 inch long over priced garage!
