Amazing food, drinks and atmosphere!!
Great service
Steaks were wonderfully prepared. Fries were excellent. Hiedi was very nice and attentive. The restaurant itself was cozy and historic. Quite a drive to get there from Pittsburgh but a pleasant trip through Amish country.
Literally the best pork chop I have ever eaten! The atmosphere and setting are amazing, charming and heartwarming. The servers were available, very pleasant, and just so phenomenal!
The woodfire pizza is awesome. The sticky ribs are also a must have. Jack is an awesome bartender and he took the best care of us on a recent visit.
This was our first time there and I was tempted to write a negative review because things didn't go how we hoped they would based on the word of mouth we'd heard about this place, but sometimes people make mistakes and don't have their best night and all you can do is try and make it right and the staff and managers here did just that.
We ordered the tavern rolls and Scottish egg as appetizers. The rolls were amazing. The Scottish egg was good, but bland. It needed the sauce they served with it for flavor but was cooked perfectly.
We ordered our food, but something happened and we were forgotten about. The waitress at one point came to table and apologized and said it was her fault, but didn't say what happened. Awhile later I flagged down someone who appeared to be the manager/owner as it had been 45 minutes since we ordered. He immediately responded and tracked our food down. My wife ordered the Thai curry bowl and she loved every bite. The curry sauce was just perfectly seasoned and flavorful. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and it was also cooked perfect. Nicely breaded and perfectly fried to maintain the meats moisture. The roll it was served on was also amazing. My complaint here was the fries it came with were cold and soggy as if they'd been left on the plate while whatever happened to our order that took so long was addressed. I brought it to the same gentlemens attention and to his credit he responded and made it all right.
Everyone has an off night in life, and it seemed like that was our servers off night, but the entire staff responded to make it right and that's all you can ever ask of another human.
We will definitely go back.
Cool place to check out. Food was good, fresh, and not processed. Nice selection of drinks as well. Very attentive staff.

This place was warm and inviting. I sat at the bar and had dinner. The food was very good. I had salmon that was claimed to be from Maine. It was very fresh. I believe that it was farmed, but probably organically as it had no bright color. It tasted like the ocean. The vegetables were shaved Brussels sprouts with bacon; very hearty. Potatoes were crispy with a tender center. They also had a nice selection of cocktails, wine and beers, even a couple craft non-alcoholic ones. The bartenders had some skills and were crafting some of their own creations.
I would definitely recommend this place.

We were very surprised to find such an incredible restaurant in this little town…then we found out about Westminster college! We had dinner there and tried to visit again the next day for lunch but the place was packed! Reservations are highly recommended.
An absolute delight of a spot. It has recently been remodeled and is just top notch. We were in a large room with a large…and loud…party which would be my only negative. We all left with our heads swimming a bit from the noise.
The food however is very good. The daily soup was delicious and the scotch egg is as advertised. It’s not cheap but portions and the locally sourced food is well worth it.
Treat yourself and enjoy…

Quaint restaurant in the heart of NW near Westminster U. Vegan options were limited but the Thai Curry Bowl was fantastic! Highly recommended

Fantastic food and cocktails. Wonderfully quaint mercantile store. The waiter and manager personally got to know us and made us feel as if we were the only patrons in an otherwise very packed house. Filet Mignonette and Amish rolls were perhaps the best I’ve ever had.
