My husband and I came here for a very rare date night- SO happy we went with this hidden gem. It’s not often we get to go out, so when we do it’s nice to go somewhere unique, with good ambience & of course delicious food. Carmines checked all of our boxes, and more! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the food is incredible . I’ve been thinking about the pizza nonstop (and the blueberry cheesecake). Already planning to go back for our next date night. A great little addition to Newtown Square!

The first thing I noticed upon walking in was the pizza oven...I had never seen a stone oven quite like that and it immediately intrigued me. The pizza choices all sounded great, but decided to go with both the Pesto Pizza and Prosciutto Pizza. The Pesto was fantastic, especially with the subtle crunch of the crushed pistachios and the juicy burst of the tomatoes. And the Prosciutto was equally as delicious, as the saltiness of the meat paired very well with the cheese and crust. Both pizzas had crusts that were cooked perfectly. Additionally, went with the Short Rib Arancini as an appetizer, which may have been the best decision of the night. It was like a combination of creamy risotto + an elevated cheesesteak + a fancy mozzarella stick. It was amazing and I would definitely get it again. On top of all the fabulous food, the service was great. Ornela was attentive, knowledgeable, and very polite. The food came out in a timely manner. Carmines checked every box that I would look for in a dining experience and I will be back again!

We went here for Mothers Day, ordered a ton of apps for the table,they were all incredible our favorites were the mahi lettuce wraps and the whipped trio, it was very crowded but the food came out in very reasonable amount of time, drink prices are spot on for Newtown Square, and the owner came by and chatted with us and had us all laughing. All the entrees were excellent. We have been back multiple times since, it’s a perfect spot for a family dinner,pickup cheesesteaks on game day.. or romantic date night.

Rude owner, rude staff, the food sucked too so overpriced, they are con. Artists, they ripped me off and overcharged me for things that I did not receive and things that I did not want. They argued with me and told me that I needed them to save hear their side. Talk about the customer, always being right. They know nothing about customer service. Save yourself the headache and go to 1 of the many other places that will actually value you as a customer and provide excellent service and food!! And not rip you off and charge you for things that you did not receive or things that you did not want and refuse to refund you your money or even give you those items. They are crooks very shady business!!!

The newly renovated Carmines Eatery is OUTSTANDING!! The design and atmosphere inside will take your breath away, and the food and service is even better!! You can’t go wrong with any appetizer or dish! The bar is also incredible and a great place for Happy Hour or drinks! Hidden gem you MUST to check out!

Issues from prior poor reviews have been resolved -delicious with complex flavors, excellent service, comfortable seating. Only hope the owners will add more vegetarian entrees and soften the music a bit. We’ll be back soon to Carmine’s!

I just went to a happy hour and the food and drink specials were reasonably priced. I ordered a manhattan cocktail which normally should be priced $12 - 15. When I received the bill, they charged me $21 for the drink. Outrageous! The food cost was only $20. Then they got me for the credit card surcharge of 3 1/2 %. Never again! Not going back.
