I look for business that take pride in their work and history. You can clearly tell this is one of those gems. I went in looking for a basic ham and swiss and left with a flavor explosion! This is heads above the chains. Support this local shop it is incredible!
I got the calabria which was pretty good and a roast beef hoagie. For the roast beef, the bread was already soggy when I picked it up but tasted good overall. Neither hoagie was cut in half which is my biggest pet peeve when it comes to hoagies. Took away a star for that since I had to do it myself.
There is a certain flavor/texture combo that all great hoagies should have. It's hard to describe and even harder to obtain. It includes a certain kind of roll, a certain combination and order of meats, as well as fresh condiments. Once you've had it, you will have a really hard time enjoying any other hoagie...
