Mercato Ristorante and Bar

We’re back on the hunt for great happy hours in the area. This spot offered a solid drink menu featuring cocktails and beer. We tried the sangria (made with red wine) and an espresso martini—subbing in Bluitt Bourbon for the traditional vodka.

For our first round of food, we ordered calamari rings served with a tomato-based sauce. Personally, I prefer my calamari in crispy strips, so this preparation wasn’t quite my style. The garlic parmesan wings were crisp but lacked the creamy garlic parmesan sauce you’d typically expect. They were also slightly overcooked. The hot honey wings packed more heat than sweetness, which might appeal to some but wasn’t my preference.

The mascarpone, pear, and prosciutto crostini was the standout—a well-balanced blend of savory, sweet, and salty. As for the pizza, both the Margherita and Meatball varieties were excellent.

The bartenders were friendly and accommodating, especially considering how hot it was inside. It seemed like the AC wasn’t functioning, which made for an uncomfortable experience. In fact, we noticed another couple sit at the bar briefly before leaving. It took a few minutes for us to receive menus and place our drink orders. While the bar manager was making rounds with other guests, we weren’t approached. Honestly, if it hadn’t been for the bartenders, we probably would’ve left too. The one bartender let us try a shot of whipped cream whiskey used with the espresso martini. Also, he gave us limoncello shots to finish our meals.

We’d consider returning in the fall—once the weather cools down. A restaurant without functioning air conditioning isn’t ideal, especially during a heat wave when guests are looking to unwind in comfort.

Had a great lunch there with my wife. We shared fresh clams and Mascarpone crostini for appetizers. Then I had the Chicken Parm Sandwich with Caesar salad my wife tried the capellini positano. For dessert we shared the tiramisu and blood orange gelato. The food was cooked well and we had good portions. Our server was great even with attending to a large party and a few other tables. We will definitely be going back to try more of the menu.

We had a great time . Sat at the bar during a storm for apps and drinks and the lights flickered a few times, but it actually made the whole experience kind of fun. The meal was great, service great and overall we had an awesome time. Definitely coming back!

The buzz on Alfredo’s happy hour has been off the hook on the local restaurant groups. Tonight, we went in to try it for ourselves and absolutely loved the atmosphere, the vibe, the spacious bar, & the decor. I recognized the new GM who ran La Porta for years back when it was good as well as several members of their former staff. Learned they have a new chef team and it showed. The happy hour clams casino, Caesar’s salad and meatball sliders were delicious. For our dinner we split an awesome shrimp parmigiana with spaghetti. Outstanding. Our bartender Cade was attentive and a great mixologist. Learned Wednesday is also half off martinis so we tried the espresso and lemon drop and they were delicious. Proper drinks as they say in England.
All told it was $60 - a great value. It’s time for that negative Mercato stuff to end cause this is no longer that. This is now the best happy hour in Delco and we will be back again soon to try more of the menu.

Beautiful atmosphere, fantastic food (phone did not eat first). We had friendly, attentive staff and ordered 2 dozen oysters, pizza, arancini, 2 orders of wings, and a Caesar salad. Will definitely be back again. The beer and specialty drinks were delicious as well. Can’t beat the happy hour!!! We will be back again very very soon.

I recently had my daughters bridal shower at this location and couldn't have been more thrilled about the outcome. The food was amazing, the room looked beautiful, and the staff (Corey, Selena, Allie and Brittany) were over the top fantastic. Brittany was my main contact, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled. She was even at our event all day and made sure we were taken care of at all times. I have worked in customer care most of my life and understand how important it is for a customer to have a great experience, and we all did. A lot of our guests also made sure to tell me how wonderful the event was and how great the staff was. Thank you to everyone at Alfredo's who helped to make my daughters shower a truly memorable event. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a place to go to lunch, dinner or needs to have their own memorable event! The experience you will get will far exceed the expectation! Our first time trying this place. We kept our orders simple and ordered a margherita pizza, a white pizza with veggies, and the chocolate lava cake dessert. All were great. Service was a little slow, but it's new and should improve as it gets established. They have a bar, but you can bring wine with no corkage fee. Will definitely return.

Went to the 2025 Mothers Day brunch and was very happy. Liked all the food we tried, and there was an abundance of choices from breakfast items, meats, vegetables, seafood, and dessert. The staff was attentive and personable. Will be going back.

I had my bridal shower this past Saturday in one of the private rooms and everything was spectacular. The food, drinks, and service were exceptional. The staff; Brittany, Cory, and Selena, went above and beyond to talk to guests and make sure everyone was taken care of. They allowed us plenty of time for set up and didn’t rush us out as we were gathering our things at the end of the day. My fiancé and I cannot wait to come back for dinner again and enjoy this incredible restaurant! Thank you to everyone at Alfredo’s who made my shower so special!!

Highly recommend - great location and ample parking but hidden behind the Giant Supermarket shopping center - great before or after movie stop - entrees were excellent and large portioned so very good value and not overpriced -- pizza and strombolis looked interesting (will be back for try those) but really enjoyed our short ribs and fettucine mercato - service was excellent
