OTAKA SUSHI & RAMEN

We were very disappointed after seeing the ratings. I was glad to see that there was no Chinese food on the menu LOL but the food was average at best. The miso soup was bland. The sushi was not very fresh (especially for a Saturday night). The sushi bar itself was a odd. Unlike typical sushi bars, the seats were so low that the usual interaction with the sushi chefs was not possible (maybe on purpose) and, at least while we were there, the sushi in the case was a bit of a mess - not carefully replaced and orderly. It was also annoying that servers had to reach over people sitting at the sushi bar to grab orders for the rest of the restaurant. I've been enjoying sushi over 40 years, beginning at an authentic Japanese chef's restaurant. This was a definitely not that.

Fantastic Sushi. Fish is always fresh and rolls are tasty.

Our go to place for casual sushi! Clean, modern ambiance with delicious food. Kids love the udon, and sushi rolls are great.

No question, best sushi in the area. Spicy tuna handroll was made flawlessly I've never had one like it in this area. Having monk fish liver on the menu is amazing. Finally!! Definitely our new go to.

Really good sushi in the suburbs. We get take out and it feels more like a city joint than a suburban spot. Everything is really good.

got ramen and sushi doordashed.
was overall pleased with what we got ! the sushi was good (spicy crab and salmon rolls), had a decent kick to it.
ramen was pleasant, the egg was good, noodles were a bit thin in mine (? they were different from my husband's, they weren't gross, had an interesting texture), but the broth was smooth and spicy. 8/10, would get again

The Ichi spicy ramen is really good, the pork melt in the mouth while spicy soup mix perfectly together. The bathroom is very clean as well.

The sushi is average with no distinctive features at all. The price is inflated. The ramen is also ordinary. The tuna tastes a bit stale.
