What a beautiful and historic Pennsylvania Winery. The winery itself was very interesting with lots of neat displays. The wines were delicious. They have a variety of different wines and styles for you to choose from. The staff is kind and friendly and the owners are amazing and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend stopping by for a great part of Pennsylvania wine history.

Mazza is the sister winery to South Shore winery. The vibe inside Mazza is quaint, rustic Italian style which was so cute. They must have been busy before we got there as they needed to clear some tables and only 2 gentlemen were working, one behind the bar and the other in the store. Both were very helpful and polite and honest when it came to wines we may like based on our tastes. We appreciated that. I had the bare bones flight which was all pretty good. I took two bottles home from that flight. They offered my toddler sparkling grape juice which was really nice. I gave them 4/5 stars because it is a smaller venue and they could definitely expand if that’s not in their plans yet. There are steps leading up to the store and tasting room and not sure if they had a ramp accessible or not. Lastly, the ladies room toilet paper dispenser was difficult to get toilet paper out of which is frustrating and bits of toilet paper littered the bathroom floor. A change in the dispenser or type of roll could fix that easily.

We already liked Mazza but had a really nice experience at their vineyard today. We were just passing through at the end of a very 'low key' vacation when we met the hospitable sommeliers at Mazza. We were there to see if they had a bottle or so of ice wine but got to sample (and eventually purchase) both the ice wine and their late harvest. It was a nice unexpected treat.

Good afternoon, everyone. I strongly do not recommend visiting this winery for several reasons.

First, when I called a few hours in advance and asked if we could come for a tour and tasting, I was told, “Yes, of course, come by — no reservations needed.” But when we arrived and asked for a tour of the production area, we were told that no one was available to do it and they came up with a bunch of different excuses for why it couldn’t be done. I was very disappointed because the main reason we chose this winery was precisely for the tour, not just the tasting.

Second, the wine tasting itself was very, very basic. The person who presented the wines didn’t explain anything about what we were tasting. On top of that, the tasting flight didn’t even indicate the order of the wines — first, second, third, or fourth — so as we tried them, we had no idea which wine was which. There was a total lack of staff engagement during the tasting process.

Third, the reality is that there are many wineries in the area. Don’t be misled by ratings or reviews that may be artificially inflated. People often choose this particular winery because of those reviews, but there are surely other wineries where you can get a proper tour and where the staff is much more involved and welcoming.

The only thing I heard from the person who greeted us was that “we’ve been in business for over 50 years.” That was the only “highlight” they managed to share — nothing about the wines, the history, or anything else typically shared during a winery visit.

I’ve visited wineries in various countries, including France (in Provence), and everywhere I’ve been, the staff was far more enthusiastic and shared plenty of stories and details.

This place was great. Amy was fantastic—welcoming, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The wine was great and the whole experience was smooth and enjoyable. Definitely worth a visit!

This is not an experience of the place but of the wine. Absolutely a 6 out of 5 . 5 being the best. Their Niagara being the second, l hope l spelled Niagara right.. Those are the only 2 l have ever tried from Mazda.

Mazza Vineyard sales representative, Gina, has an effervescent personality, accompanied by a knowledge of your product, which is most commendable. She introduced a long sought-after semi-dry Country Red which is very pleasing to the palate. She certainly is a credit to your long-established winery. Regards, John M.

We went to Christmas village this year in Philly where they had Mazza wine which was super awesome on a cold day and always nice supporting local PA businesses.

We got 2 refills ($8 each) and 1 bottle ($20) in one transaction. Then a 2nd transaction, 4 bottles in the gift pack ($70). I asked if I could have a receipt after both transactions and the staff member just played it off saying they’ll get texted to me. He wouldn’t even flip the screen to show us our total. Whatever, took his word for it.

After seeing the transactions later on our credit card and doing a little math, we realized the staff member tipped 15% on BOTH transactions. I’m all for tipping especially for alcohol related services, but I felt like I got robbed for not being able to make that decision myself. And why are you tipping yourselves 15% for me buying 4 bottles to go????

Just felt like I was lied to, and I should’ve trusted my gut when the guy wouldn’t show me the screen or produce some sort of receipt for my transactions (not even a text receipt through Square!!) Ridiculous.

Stopped for wine tasting, did not participate in a tour.
I had a custom flight (Merlot, Cab Franc, Bare Bones Red and Appassionato) and husband had a glass of the Bare Bones Moscato. Appreciated that the Moscato was not overly sweet. Could take or leave the Bare Bones Red, the Merlot was smooth with berries. Cabernet Franc had some warm spice, dark cherry, a hint of oak. The Appassionato was delightful, made from natural dried grapes it was full bodied and jammy but not sweet - price reflects the hands on approach to this wine.
Amy was delightful, knowledgeable and handled multiple (5) tables with ease (she was the only one working while we were there.

A beautiful building in a nice setting. The inside looks great! We had a wonderful time here talking to the girl that worked there. She was very pleasant and helpful in helping us pick out wines we liked. They have a really good assortment of all kinds of wines and lots of traditional ones we really liked. Mazda is always on our lists of must stops when we are in the area. It’s well worth the stop, you won’t be disappointed!
Highly recommended!

I always buy my Mazza wine from the Zelienople store. The ladies working there are always very friendly and helpful. I use their Concord wine in my homemade Italian spaghetti Sugo. It provides the right amount of flavors. I've tried many of their flavors, and while I enjoyed just about all of them, my favorite is the Holiday Wine. Each week, I stop at the store and pick up a few bottles. The store provides taste samples so you can find out which flavors you like or dislike. It's worth stopping in! And don't forget to try that Holiday Wine! ?

We recently went on a northern road trip where we visited over 20 wineries, and we had one of the best experiences at Mazza's! We had SO much fun with both Mary & Bryan, they were kind, hospitable, social, knowledgeable and really made our time at Mazza so special! Mary is currently studying winemaking in her post-secondary pursuit and is such a great addition to the team. Bryan was warm and friendly, and taught us about the facility, winemaking process and history of the facility. Thank you so much Bryan & Mary for an amazing time and a heart warming experience!
