*UNSANITARY: There was hair-like particle in the food, restaurant refused to cancel the menu and still insisted that I pay for it.
Only Non-koreans or 2nd gens who probably haven’t had this type of dish in Korea seem to like this place without a proper idea of what an authentic Korean Chinese food tastes like. This is not how a Korean Chinese food is like at all- Absolutely lacks flavor, no depth to the broth. Most importantly, ordered Udon( which came out as a dish I’ve never seen or heard of. Has eggs spread all over the top of the noodles) and there was a hairlike particle. Told the waiter, who looked confused without any word of apology. They didn’t take the dish away. I Insisted on sending the dish back, to which they finally took the dish and ordered something else.
At checkout, it still had the price for Udon. I inquired. They said “It’s not our fault you don’t like the dish. So you still have to pay for it”.
I told them that one, it was NOT Udon that was served (Had seafood and eggs in it, which I have no idea what dish they were attempting to make. Never seen, never heard) and two, there was hair in the food. They said it’s a “Korean Chinese fusion style” and insisted that it’s “not their fault, therefore I have to pay for the food that was sent back,” and claimed that two, the hair was not a “hair”, but what “NATURALLY” came out of the oyster LOL. I showed them a picture, but they still had the audacity to insist on making me pay for a dish that was sent back.
Upon arguing for a few minutes and showing them a picture they finally took it off the receipt. What a mess of an experience. Had a horrible night.

I said I should never order it again.
I was a fool for ordering it again...
I thought I was going to get sick after eating Kkanpunggi. It was so sweet and dry.
I thought the jjajangmyeon was made with real Ottogi jjajang powder.
It's so tasteless. If only I paid more attention to the taste of the food...
Now, even if it's far away, if I want to eat Jjajangmyeon, I go to Yonghwaru.
It would be better for me to buy chunjang, lard, and a wok and cook it myself.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Salt Korean BBQ, and overall, it was a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend to both BBQ enthusiasts and anyone new to Korean cuisine. The Yang-nyeom Chicken it was absolutely outstanding—perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and coated in a sweet, spicy glaze that balanced heat and flavor exceptionally well. The richness of the sauce complemented the juicy chicken, making it a must-try dish for anyone visiting Salt. The Bulgogi was flavorful, but my only small critique was that the beef was sliced just a touch too thick, which made it a bit chewier than expected. However, the marinade was spot on—savory with a hint of sweetness, and grilled to a nice caramelization, which still made it enjoyable. The atmosphere at Salt is warm and lively, very loud at times - perfect for a casual night out with friends or family. The service was prompt and friendly, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience. While there are a few minor tweaks that could enhance certain dishes, Salt is a place I will definitely return to.
Awesome restaurant - the servers and staff are so friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and the presentation is fabulous. It is a bit loud - however, we came later and it got more reasonable. Highly recommend!!
What a great high end, quality, engaging and fun dining experience! Beautiful decor, unbelievable knowledgeable and attentive service with a menu loaded with high quality ingredients and great value for the money. Go for one of the BBQ options! IMHO they can easily serve more than the 3-4 the menu indicates especially given the sides that come with it. We'll definitely be going back and taking friends
Great Korean BBQ in a modern setting. Food is fantastic and service is second to none. A server literally cooks your meat at the table and when you ask for something, it is at your table in seconds. The sides are all very tasty and different. Highly recommend
We ordered the chamjamyeon, chadol jjamppong, and chicken tangsuyuk. Portion size for everything was huge! jjamppong flavor is perfect - spicy, slightly smoky, and refreshing from all the veggies. Service was a little lacking which is understandable when you're a busy. All in all, I would recommend if you don't want to drive all the way to philly. Close contender for best jjamppong in the philly/greater philly area in my opinion.

Outstanding food and service! It was an exceptional experience due to wonderful waiter staff; who are very helpful with choosing the food and recommendations. We love the friendly staff who helped us to learn more about Korean culture. The food was splendid as well! Thank you again! We will definitely come back in the near future!!
The service was the best I have ever had at a Korean BBQ. We had several servers and each one explained the components of the meal since this was our first time at SALT. The kimchi was outstanding. The bulgogi and ribeye were like butter in your mouth. It was pricey but worth every penny for the food, service and ambiance. We will be going back soon!!!

A really fun place to dine. Truly unfortunate that the restaurant is so very loud. I could not talk to my guest OR to the waitstaff. Let me say this again ... I could NOT understand what the waitstaff was saying and guessed at menu selections. This is not meant to be an intimate little restaurant, but the noise level is beyond the pale.
Went to celebrate a high school graduation. Great side dishes. Meat dishes were a bit small for the price but the fried chicken was a huge portion and served on a boat. The service as great - grilled the meat to perfection.
Everything is always good.

This was our first time at a Korean barbecue and it was fantastic! Everything was top notch- the quality, quantity, and selections were outstanding, the beverage selections were plentiful and very good, the prices very reasonable, and the ambiance was welcoming and helpful as were the staff members and servers. The evening couldn't have been better! Thank you Salt for everything! We will tell all of our friends and relations to try you out and we will definitely be back!
We enjoyed our first time at SALT, our waitress was friendly and nice, however, a little more guidance with ordering would have been helpful. When the food came, it appeared that we completely over ordered. The almond chicken was enough for 3-4 people, we had no idea it was served on a boat and so plentiful!? All 6 of us ordered entrees and that wasn't really necessary. At $400 for 6 people, we most likely won't be back.
