Korean BBQ restaurants are notorious for overcharging for orders of galbi, samgapsul, bulgogi, or other pork meats to cook on the table grill. While SALT is not cheap, they have by far and away the largest servings and portions you can get on a set menu (apart from the all you can eat places). The panchan (small dishes) were ok, and they replenshed the kimchi, lettuce and peppers and garlic we asked for frequently. Service was attentive but for clearing empthy plates and dishes that they did when asked. They gave us a splicy sauce (like a Siracha) instead of gogujang for putting on the lettace before the meats. There were three different salts but only one type of dipping sauce. There were no Korea waiters or waitresses and though ours knew technically what they were going, the clear cultural advantage of someone who grew up with the food and this method of cooking was missed a bit. We would go back again though.

I recently dined at Salt Korean BBQ. The food itself was excellent—high-quality meats, tasty side dishes, and a vibrant atmosphere. However, I had an unfortunate experience that left me disappointed. When the server lit the grill at our table, hot oil suddenly splashed into my eye just seconds later. It was extremely painful and genuinely frightening. What concerned me most was the response: neither the server nor the manager apologized. The manager came over but said absolutely nothing, and the server only asked if I needed anything after seeing I was hurt. I asked for ice, which was brought quickly, but the lack of acknowledgment or concern felt dismissive. Accidents happen, especially in a BBQ setting, but how a restaurant handles those situations matters just as much as the food. I did receive a complimentary dessert, which was a nice gesture, but it didn't make up for the physical pain or the way the incident was brushed off. While I enjoyed the food, the overall experience was clouded by poor customer service in a moment that called for care and professionalism. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and improves how they handle guest safety and communication going forward.

the food was great as was the service. the noise level was high, sometimes making it difficult to hear what the waitstaff was saying, which was important as we were unfamiliar with many of the items on the menu. nevertheless, we will surely return.

Easily one of my favorite restaurants. The quality of the various barbecued meats is terrific - well-marbled, succulent, marinated meats are quite tasty and the various salts and sauces accompanying unmarinated meats are equally wonderful. All of the various side dishes are well-executed, although perhaps not as spicy as my Korean palate might be accustomed to (and that's not a bad thing). Services is impeccable and every time we have had one of the team barbecuing for us, they have always been very friendly, professional, capable, and super attentive to the various requests for doneness. Ambient noise can be a little loud for my geriatric ears but doesn't seem to be a problem for others who have been at my table all of the times I've eaten here. Absolutely a wonderful experience each and every time I've had the pleasure of dining here.

A long drive from Philly, but this is superior Korean BBQ and food. The beef combo was terrific and a good value. The servers were busy but good as this is a popular place. The room is attractive with a full bar, and we also enjoyed what we ordered off the a la crate menu.

Even here many times. Consistent delicious food. Always really good service. It was packed tonight which is great to see them thriving. Bit noisy but enjoyable overall

A great place to enjoy barbecue. Mostly populated by Asian families sharing a meal and enjoying the food and the company. The service is terrific, they are a team and they enjoy working together.

Feel very rushed to eat everything at once. Like to each appetizers with cocktails at leisure not with chef cooking at same time.

Excellent meals for my Dad's birthday dinner! The waiters were very informative & helpful with the menu. The manager was in tune with all of the tables and guests and even brought out a birthday dessert. We will be back soon! Definitely recommend.

One of the best kbbq restaurants around the philly area! Whenever my friends and I done eating, we're already plan on when we're coming back next.

Second time for dinner and another great meal! Service is excellent, the meats are of highest quality and prices are reasonable. Everyone so nice; Manager came over to talk to us and make sure we enjoyed our meal. Will definitely be going again!

This was our first time trying Salt and we will be back. The food was excellent as was the service. It can get a little loud though.

Great first visit — food was delicious with excellent service. A few missteps that were probably due to accelerated noise levels, but were quickly corrected. Looking forward to next visit — but on a weekday!

*UNSANITARY: There was hair-like particle in the food, restaurant refused to cancel the menu and still insisted that I pay for it.

Only Non-koreans or 2nd gens who probably haven’t had this type of dish in Korea seem to like this place without a proper idea of what an authentic Korean Chinese food tastes like. This is not how a Korean Chinese food is like at all- Absolutely lacks flavor, no depth to the broth. Most importantly, ordered Udon( which came out as a dish I’ve never seen or heard of. Has eggs spread all over the top of the noodles) and there was a hairlike particle. Told the waiter, who looked confused without any word of apology. They didn’t take the dish away. I Insisted on sending the dish back, to which they finally took the dish and ordered something else.

At checkout, it still had the price for Udon. I inquired. They said “It’s not our fault you don’t like the dish. So you still have to pay for it”.
I told them that one, it was NOT Udon that was served (Had seafood and eggs in it, which I have no idea what dish they were attempting to make. Never seen, never heard) and two, there was hair in the food. They said it’s a “Korean Chinese fusion style” and insisted that it’s “not their fault, therefore I have to pay for the food that was sent back,” and claimed that two, the hair was not a “hair”, but what “NATURALLY” came out of the oyster LOL. I showed them a picture, but they still had the audacity to insist on making me pay for a dish that was sent back.

Upon arguing for a few minutes and showing them a picture they finally took it off the receipt. What a mess of an experience. Had a horrible night.
