Food is always great.

I had been wanting to try this place for a while now and was excited when I finally got the chance this past weekend. The restaurant is in a beautiful old home. The inside is very homey and warm. This may be due to covid but there were only what seemed like two workers. Only our table and one other was occupied plus one guy at the bar. The waitress was very brusk with us. No drink menu provided or offered so I didn't order right away. Then every time she came back to the table she basically ran away, seemingly trying to avoid us so then I had to wait to order my drink with my meal. The food was fine, nothing special. The mashed potatoes were amazing actually and the crab casserole, fine. Everyone else ordered another round and I opted to wait since I got my drink after everyone the first go around. When she finally came to ask if everything was OK (when we were basically done eating) I asked for another drink and she rudely responded, "You do know I'm cooking, waiting the tables, managing the bar and cleaning right?" As if I were supposed to know that and as if I wasn't allowed to order another drink due to all of her job responsibilities. When we were all finished and waiting to pay then she hung around our table to talk to us I think to try to make up for her prior attitude and poor service. I will never go back. Sorry not sorry.

Pleasant surprise.I couldn't tell you how many times I meant to, but didn't, stop in; shame on me. Good food - and not good, they know a fryer - it's *good food*.Building is nicely refinished and they have a solid bar. Historic, small stop that is worth your time.

Food is always well done, service is friendly. Awesome place to eat.

Best cheese steak in the valley

My husband and I stopped here for a quick drink on our way to other evening plans. We had some time to kill and this was a great place to do it. The owner was accommodating and friendly. The other patrons at the bar were friendly. I enjoyed their red wine selection. Although we did not eat there, several people were enjoying the food. We may travel back this way for dinner one night.

Good food but long wait for ordered food. Waitress service was not very attentive, especially regarding drink refills while waiting for food.
