I've been eating at this restaurant 30+ years and the breakfasts have always been delicious and filling. Simple country cooking is what I enjoy. The breakfast buffet is good and the menu selections are good. Staff and the "coffee wench" are always pleasant and attentive. Counter seating, booths, and tables accommodate parties of all sizes. Today I have sausage gravy on freshly made biscuits with home fries. Just wonderful and plenty of good coffee to wash it down. So glad this place is still going strong so I can visit again.

I have been a server for over 10 years my mother the same and never have we been to a diner that charges you for coffee refills and doesn't tell you you're being charged and so they give you the check the service itself was great we wanted to give her a server $25 tip but couldn't because of all the coffee we had to pay

Seafood combo. New cook new ownership. Shrimp overcooked crab cake more bread than crab. Steak was mirror looked correct. But very chewy. Meal $23Dietary restrictions: Very good about dietary restrictions.

Decent diner food, what you would expect. They do have some above average burgers i highly recommend but they need a lesson in take out etiquette. Ordered a Chicken Ceaser salad to go, and these folks actually put the hot a** chicken right on the fresh salad wilting everything... It should have been separated. Oh and the Sausage gravy is beyond bland stay away.

The lady who answered the phone needs to be trained on the menu better. Ordered chicken cutlets and asked her if it came with white gravy, to which she replied “huh?” Then I said country gravy, and she said yes. Get the food, and it’s covered in salty, gelatinous chicken gravy. I was also missing my salad. My partner got the crab cake and shrimp. The crab cake was good, but the baked potato came dry. For $40 plus tip, I was expecting much better food.

In the past 20 years, my family and some of my coworkers have eaten here many times and have enjoyed the experience. Tonight my family ate there and found it was under new management and a new menu with much higher prices. I had the chicken fried steak and it was so overcooked! I had trouble cutting it with a knife and even had trouble getting the fork into the pieces! When i went to pay, they have now discontinued the senior discount! Definitely not senior friendly!! It will not be the restaurant we will be visiting in the future!!

Did the breakfast buffet. Good variety of breakfast food. Atmosphere was lots of families enjoying themselves. Halloween atmosphere. Even a pumpkin carving contest with excellent and creative art workKid-friendliness: Lots of families with young kids and yet quiet and no distractions. Families seemed to be enjoying their time out.

Ordered take out here for my family. The pancakes are small. Appropriate sizing for a 2 year old. Pancakes tasted like onions. Just not very good at all. Gave two stars because they didn’t mess up the orders.

If you want a good home-style meal, it's hard to beat the post house. I ordered the crab stuffed broiled flounder last week and it was perfect. There was a huge pile of crab filling that had plenty of large lumps sitting on top of a buttery fillet. I would have paid $30 or more at any other restaurant. Mine was less than $15, and I took home lunch for the next day. I prefer their breakfasts to Perkins and Cracker Barrel and I have never been disappointed. However, be forewarned that their gravies and soups are way too thick. A spoon will stand straight up in a bowl and never fall over. Honestly. I always ask if they have been thinned down but the answer is no. Such an easy fix. We know several servers by name, but they are all friendly and attentive regardless. Now for the ambiance...Starting outside, it is sad and decrepit. It needs so much TLC, including a good weeding, some paint, and color and signage. It is not inviting and I have trouble getting some friends to go there because of that first impression. The interior is a sad hodgepodge that I would describe as shabby Dollar Store. Diner comfort isn't a high priority and everything is so old, tired, and sad that it can't look clean. But it is. It really needs brightness and color. TLC! My judgment? Great American comfort foods, well prepared, tasty, and very reasonably priced. Attentive and caring staff. If you can stomach some visible decay and sadness, inside and out, you will have a great meal.

Food was very good, but the waitress could have been quite a bit more friendly, especially for new customers coming in.

It's a 3.9 for a reason. Got the hungry man breakfast. 3 pancakes, 3 eggs, sausage, bacon, and scrapple. Pancakes we tough and dense, if you want to actually get 3 eggs don't order scrambled. Bacon was on point, scrapple was about 1/4 in. thick and only half a slice and the sausage was straight out of the fridge cold, obviously leftovers from yesterday. Very unkept and no pride in ownership at all. With the amount of weed overgrowth in the parking lot the place looks abandoned. Poor choice for sure this morning.

We have been here at the Post House a few times and most of the time we have has good food and very good service. Today though you all missed the mark on the service part. We sat for several minutes after seating ourselves when someone called for us to do so from somewhere as we didn't see them. The server finally came over and took our order, not the friendliest we had by a long shot. Anyway my main reason for writing this is to let you know that while your servers were huddled in their area together, a couple came in sat and waited and waited and neither server even realized they were there after awhile they simply left to go elsewhere. Neither server nor the hostess ever knew they were there and left. I did tell the hostess but was informed she wasn't a waitress. I just thought you should know.
