Love this place!! High quality, authentic Mexican food that is made to order with good prices. We’ve been there twice, chose different dishes, and the food was amazing both times! This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant! It is BYOB and Helicon is close by if you want a craft beer.
Finally got a chance to try this place out and was not disappointed at all. My wife and I both agreed that, as people who seek out new food experiences, this was one of the best Mexican restaurants we have ever eaten at.
The food was fresh and cooked properly, and the flavors were amazing! The mole enchiladas are amazing as were the house made corn masa sopes with steak or chicken!
There aren't many tables; so, I suspect they do most of their business is takeout, but I would recommend going in person and getting it fresh.
We will be back as soon as possible.
Kid-friendliness: They didn't mind our kids being kids.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp leading up to the front door and all flat dining area.

With some friends, we are on a quest to find good Mexican food in the Southwest Pittsburgh area. Most places are just so- so, so imagine how pleased we were to find this place! What you get here is not from the corporate distributor who seem to be the suppliers of almost all the other "Mexican" restaurants around. For one, look at their logo - the Marlin indicates that they come from the region around Acapulco and they feature many fish and seafood dishes from that region. Of course, they do Americanize their dishes, but they managed to maintain the flavors that we've been looking for.
For this visit, we decided to try the fajitas, Alembra, and Enchiladas in Mole sauce. All were full of flavor and nicely presented. See the pictures for an idea of how these dishes come.
The staff are the owners. While the parents cook, the son is the waiter. Since it was early and the place was not busy, we had the chance to chart about Mexico, the restaurant, and the food. Service was excellent - and not just because of our discussions. When other patrons showed up, we saw them get the same great service.
The place has been open for a little more than a year now. We will certainly come again to try some more of their specialties.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp leading to the front door and wide spaces to maneuver a wheel chair. Restrooms are spacious.

The food was not good. The quacamole was overrun with lime juice and overpowered everything. I love hot salsa, but this salsa was not edible. The chips were okay. The steak tacos tased horrible and were thrown in the trash. The chicken fajitas tacos where the only thing that was good. To spend 25.00 for such a sub quality meal was a disappointment. I will never return to this establishment.

We had visited several Mexican restaurants and most of them will have similar dishes and flavors.
Jose and his family restaurant has different kinds and recipes such as Caldo de Camarón Acapulco style, shrimp street tacos, esquites, and Milanesa with Mexican spaghetti, to mention some.
My family enjoyed the food and service.
The meals are prepared at the moment, so you will need to have time to come and eat, however the sea food is fresh and delicious.
