Arcaro and Genell, Old Forge, PA

Our favorite of The Old Forge pizza restaurants. They only do “takeaway”. The white is perfect and the red is also delicious. Could not be nicer servers. They have a bocce court and also a rental hall. At the “takeaway” store they offer a variety of Italian cuisine specialties.

Food is fantastic. They closed the dining room during COVID and they never reopened it. We really miss it and urge them to consider reopening as they used to be.

Best pizza in the entire country and I've been all around this country I just wanted to addto my previous post about how excellent This restaurant is I grew up in Scranton Pennsylvania and my family and I would go over every couple weeks for the outstanding pizza it is the best like I have stated previously I have ever had ANYWHERE ! And Angelo Is great he treats you like family and so does his servers running Ski trips to montage He made us incredible subs Is my people loved itI am so happy to find out that they will shipI can't wait to have some of that pizza

Came when they were closed. They gladly made a pizza for me. The crust was crunchy on the bottom and soft in the middle. The diced onions in the sauce add a sweet flavor.

My Father & I absolutely love Arcaro & Genell's!
It is always on time and consistent. Right when you walk in the door, the smiles from the workers and the ambience is second to none. The service is tremendous and you won't leave hungry. The food is homemade and delicious!
Kudos to the staff and owners, they work their tails off!

Parking: Plenty of parking for takeout and a lot of parking in the back for ceremonial events.

We've always wondered about NEPA pizza, so the other day while driving home from New England we stopped here because Arcaro and Genell were the top reviewed pizzeria for the area. The crust was thick & flavorful similar to Buffalo style crust, the sauce was sparse and just meh for flavor, the cheese was fantastic, but the pepperonis were wafer thin and almost tasteless. What really stuck in our craw was that there was no indoor dining. Their Google Maps restaurant site states that Arcaro and Genell's offers indoor dining, but the only indoor dining area available is for banquets. We had to eat outside on a hot, sunny and breezy 92 degree day. That was an absolutely awful dining experience.

So sad that they never reopened the restaurant after COVID settled down.
This was our favorite Italian restaurant, but it's an hour and a half drive to get there. Somehow picking up takeout and reheating at home just isn't the same. ?
