We moved to the area recently. Pleasantville Diner quickly became our go-to spot for breakfast whenever we eat out. The food, service, and pricing are all great. We bring friends and family here with us to show off. It’s that good. Looking forward to many many more visits in the coming years. Thanks for providing such a wonderful spot for breakfast, Pleasantville Diner.

Last time the food was outstanding this time I was told they have a new cook and the condition of the food was pathetic the person could not cook it all it's a shame they should have tested out the new cook before they put them behind the counter to cook because he cannot cook I waited an hour and 15 minutes to get food that is very unacceptable sorry to give you such bad ratings but people that came in after us had food delivered to us 20 minutes before we got our food

Walked in. Sign said wait to be seated. Hostess said good morning. Stood there for 5 min waiting to be seated while 2 gentleman walked in and seated themselves. 5 min after that their order is being taken and I'm still being ignored. Left.PS. As I've heard nothing from the owners they obviously do not care.

Waited a moment to be sat. First set of silverware brought over was dirty. The girl put them down and goes, oh these are dirty, and then forgets to bring new ones. Waitress arrives and doesn't even introduce herself. Orange juice was sour. Asked for water instead. Waited over 20 minutes for the water. Food took 40 minutes for eggs. Hashbrowns were undercooked and soggy with no seasoning. Toast tasted stale. The seats are also slippery and our child kept sliding off the booth seat almost hitting her face on the table edge. Then when paying our $15.90 bill with $16 dollars, the girl pulled a calculator out to be able to give the .10 cent change back. Very disappointed in the overall service and food. We used to love this place before the pandemic. Too much has changed and we will not be back.

Discovered this little gem of a diner a few months ago and it's easily become my family's go-to breakfast spot. Chef Kelly's food is top notch. Large portions at good prices and the staff is very warm and welcoming. Stop on by!

Never in my life did I have to wait 1 1/4 hours for breakfast, but we did here. This was our first visit and we chose this place because of of the reviews. The place was crowded when we arrived, but it only took about 10 minutes to be seated. The place looks like the 1950s and there was junk for sale right inside the door (2 lids for pots but no pots, used and dirty children's mittens, etc). It took about 10 minutes once we were seated to even get silverware or a menu. During that time I noticed there were hand written signs every where, even ot the counter which said the item for sale and some of them had the prices on them. (That should have been the first sign.) The waitress was very pleasant and took our order shortly after we got our menus. I had eggs. toast, and hash browns and my husband had the Texas meat lovers scramble. After almost an hour I asked our waitress where our meals were. She checked and came back to tell us it would still be 15 minutes. She also said the kitchen was small and there were only 2 cooks, and they got backed up cooking for the large tables. I only saw 1 or 2 tables that sat more than 4 people. When our food finally came It was very good, and my eggs were cooked perfectly. The prices were very reasonable. This place is less than casual, the way people were dressed and the old decor made it look like a dive. Because of the wait time and the fact no one told us about how long it would be to get our meals we will not go back. It was not worth the 1 1/4 hour wait, especially because we live 25 minutes away. That is why I can not recommend this place.

Cash only with ATM on site, first of all. Prices were reasonable so no biggie. The super size pancake really is! I couldn't finish it! Service was quick and friendly.
