The Inn on Main spent a lot of time and effort making the menu and venue look very fancy for serving very bad food. We visited my in laws this weekend and went here for lunch. I can speak to a few items we ordered. My ribeye, ordered rare, was an abomination. As soon as the waitress brought it out, I knew what I was in for. It was grey, with no bark, and only about a quarter inch thick. I don't know where they found this cut of meat but it must have been dirt cheap. I ordered it rare and it was so thin that it was probably impossible to cook at that temperature and came out well done. It was the first time I've ever sent something back. It wasn't worth $7 let alone $32. My sister in law got the filet mignon. She was shaking the table trying to cut it (granted, it was ordered medium, but still...). And I tasted her side of Mac n cheese... it was like they took Mac n cheese and mixed it with water and maybe green onion. It was without a doubt the worst mac I've ever had the displeasure of tasting. My mother in law got the scallops, all of which had one side burnt black. The audacity to serve protein like this was astonishing? How can you let something leave the kitchen like that? I doubt this place will be open much longer if they continue serving this abysmal food. It's such a shame too because it's in a beautifully restored house. I hope they turn things around, but I won't be risking it again. Good luck.

We saw the renovations taking place & finally got a chance to stop in and experience The Inn on Main. We stopped in for Sunday brunch and the mimosa was ON POINT. The atmosphere is beautiful, peaceful and upscale. The patio wasn't opened yet (since it's still a bit cold out) but looks so inviting, we can't wait to come back in the spring and enjoy the ambiance. I enjoyed the eggs benedict a lot & the coffee was delicious. I will absolutely be back again soon!

Our first time trying The Inn on Main in Oley PA will unfortunately be our last.Friends were in from out of town so we decided to have dinner. We really are not a picky group (there were 3 couples). We were greeted and seated upon arrival. We did have reservations ahead of time. Our waitress was very pleasant and tried to make everything good for us. We were there to enjoy our friendship and a good meal! We started with cocktails. 2 of us ordered a cocktail that was to have a sugar rim. When they arrived, a surprise when the rim was salted. Now, it was not bad that way, so we just informed our waitress and kept the drinks. We did order another round later, and she ensured the rim had sugar this time. In the meantime, we all had placed our food orders. The food came out in a timely manner. 2 of the guys in our group had ordered ribeye steaks @$32 for the meal. One wanted his Med well, and the other wanted it medium, slightly pink. The slightly pink came out well done. The other seemed to be cooked as anticipated. These steaks were not appropriately sized for the cost, they were on the small side. Not what was expected for this type of establishment. The waitress took the well-done steak back and asked for it to be remade correctly. Some time passed, and the steak diner still had not returned. I asked about it and soon thereafter it arrived. This one was rare ( I would have loved it). One of the other ladies received her meal, Stuffed Chicken (cream cheese, spinach, mushroom, etc.). She cut it open, and there was nothing, and the meat was dry and overcooked. We asked if they were perhaps premade. We were informed that everything is made fresh. There was nothing appetizing about her chicken. My husband had a chicken Ceasar salad, and his chicken was cooked nicely. I had a shrimp dish, and it was very good. My other friend had the Chicken Alfredo and said it was good.I had worked extensively in the restaurant business in my younger years. Waitress, bartender, and chef. The only person who seemed to care was our waitress. We all assured her we did not blame her. She was tipped on her service, not the issues. She tried and was pleasant the entire time we were there! The two meals that were a disaster were for one of the couples. They were not charged for those meals. Nothing further was done to try and mitigate the situation. No Vist from the chef, management, or owner. This simple gesture may have increased the chance of us trying the restaurant again. Showing some concern would have been the best option. To top it off, upon a trip to the restroom, staff were overheard, out in the bar area "talking" about the situation. This is never a good idea... keep it in the kitchen.I have a picture of the "stuffed chicken " and the "medium- slightly pink" replacement steak. We really wanted to like the place.

We love this place. This is our 3rd time eating here and we haven't had a bad meal yet. The service was great and friendly. We decided to try the brunch this time. My burrito was very tasty and filling. My wife and kids enjoyed their meals as well. I highly recommend this establishment for its food and the historical setting.

We live close and were excited to try The Inn On Main. We sat in the back which was nice because it was quieter than the main dining room. Could use some music though. Maybe some smooth jazz. Our waitress, Skyler, was excellent and remembered our orders without writing it down.On to the food. The appetizers were fantastic. Burrata Fresca and Scallops Bruschetta. Our main courses were not so great. The steaks were cooked correctly but had little to no marinating or seasoning. The mushrooms were dry. The Mac and Cheese was cheesy but whatever cheese they use was practically flavorless. The Brussel sprouts and bacon were good but we found it odd they were cut up. My wife got the Parmesan peppercorn dip which was really flavorful so, maybe, their Chicken Alfredo might be so as well. Finally, I found it strange that they charged me an extra dollar to have a bourbon, neat with ice in a glass on the side.I don't think we'll be returning. It's a shame because the Inn is so close.

Noise level was terribly loud, and the chairs were quite uncomfortable.

The menu is ambitious. Our orders almost fell flat. The only two items we liked - the Lynchburg Lemonade and the seafood dip. Though, the pitas that came with the dip were flimsy. They would have benefited from a light seasoning and toast. For dinner - my date ordered a beef sandwich with a ground mustard aioli and I ordered a steak. My date’s sandwich was a 7/10. I gave it 6/10 due to the mustard aioli. IMO, it was too spicy for the gen-pop but acceptable for us. My steak had zero seasoning. It was as if the salt didn’t exist in our meal except for the dip. My sides - even my Bacon Brussels must have had uncured bacon. I had to squeeze my lemon from my water for any hit on my palate. I embarrassingly asked for A1 sauce for the steak. My other side (wasabi mashed potatoes) were also saltless. Now I definitely needed my sinuses drained that day, but no one else did. I looked around to see who else ordered the mashed as a side. I didn’t see anyone finish them. There was just too much wasabi. The building however had the face lift it’s needed for years. The inside is quaint and unique due to the footprint of the first floor. Also, it was oddly quiet. We could have used some dinner music. Otherwise, the close quarters don’t allow for a private conversation. The locale is perfect. It’s positioned in center Oley and can be seen as you drive straight in to town. Anyone who took over the property would have the best position for a business. Unfortunately the price and the menu aren’t worth a return. Unless I hear better reviews from others, I probably won’t go back.

This has to be one of the worst meals for $32 I have ever had last night. First, the beer that I wanted was not available. No dinner rolls or bread with the meals. Then it did take about 20 min till my wife got her caesar salad before her meal, which she enjoyed. Then the meals came out and it looked promising and then went downhill fast. When we started eating our steaks (the Ribeye for me and the NY Strip for her $25), the steaks were tough, dry and not good at all. No seasoning what so ever and my ribeye had no marbling to it and tasted more like a bad sirloin steak. My baked potato came with butter and sour cream but the butter was actually margarine, which I didn't use. The brussel sprouts with bacon were barely ok and my wife's mac and cheese, which the waitress said was a good pick, was very buttery and not cheesy and good at all. Unless they get a new chef, we will not be back. The atmosphere and building has promise but that as far as it goes without good food.

Well, we had come to to reopened Inn On Main on November 4th and it was fantastic, so good we decided to bring friends to try it out. What a mistake that was... Upon entry to the restaurant we were ignored by the male host, he never look up from whatever he was doing, it someone else coming up to be acknowledged. Once seated service was slow, hot water took nearly 10 minutes longer that everyone else's drinks. The chicken and waffles were atrocious, the chicken was one of the smallest thighs I have seen. The waffles were bricks and inedible. My friends croissant was burnt, and I mean black, we informed out server and she shrugged with an oh well smirk and walked away. The pistachio stuffed French toast was smothered in an overly sweet sauce that overpowered everything else, which sadly was the best of the meals. Sadly we will not be going back. If you still decide to go I hope you have the first experience we had, and not the dismal second round.

Went to the Inn on Sunday and had the best breakfast I've ever had. The breakfast burrito and the breakfast bowl and Za! It was amazing. Huge portions, delicious flavors and the best potatoes we've ever had. The Grapefruit Ginny T hit just right as well as the RMC. The bartender was awesome too, such a sweetheart. Cast wait to go back!
