If you have not been to the new restaurant at Wyncote Golf Club, run don’t walk because you are missing out! We have been numerous times and we leave happy and satisfied every time.
Their handmade crafted cocktails are amazing. I am in love with the espresso martini.
As for the food, every dish that we have had was a taste sensation. I had the shepherds pie and it put one of our local English Pub’s shepherds pie to shame! And it’s made with lamb, as it should be.
We can not wait to go back! Well done Wynecote!

I love the food in the pub and the restaurant! I personally recommend the steak frites for dinner and the chicken/pork quesadilla for lunch. However, it’s not just the food that’s great, it’s all of the staff too. The servers are very lively (I wouldn’t prefer it any other way), but they’re also considerate and respectful. The new restaurant is very clean and up to date and even has a porch with tables that has a great view of the golf course. I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try.Kid-friendliness: I’ve seen kids here frequently, and they do have a kids menu that’s very affordable.

Writing this after having dinner at the pub. Felt heartburn come on immediately turned into vomiting. I believe I have food poisoning, I had the shepherds pie and a glass of red wine. Confused as to how this could happen. Shame because I always used to enjoy this restaurant in the summer.

The last 2 times I've been here, I've been sick the following day. The guests I brought with me also suffered uneasy stomach issues following their meals. It's unfortunate because it's a great location for a nice meal. Haven't been back.

Hadn't been in a while due to poor service, uninteresting menu and because we prefer to go to restaurants offering craft cocktails. Well we re-visited this summer and were very pleased to find better service (still could use some improvements - they had a "staff meeting" right at lunchtime!). Menu has been updated, though there didn't seem to be any specials. Best of all, they now offer some interesting and tasty craft cocktails!
Server was very friendly. Dinner was good. Kitchen was very slow considering the restaurant wasn't busy. It took a long time for dinner and dessert to come out after we ordered. Stay away from the creme brulee. The top layer is not torched properly.

Had a great experience at the Ball and Thistle Pub the other day. The food was excellent. I got the Windy Cottage Pie and really enjoyed it. The staff was fast and attentive. Management has changed and elevated the restaurant since our last trip there years ago. I definitely recommend giving it a go!

Nice dinner. Had a very good time with my son and his friends. The food was prepared well. I wouldn't judge this place from it's past, they've made changes and have come up with a solid menu. - Irish nachos are worth ordering .... I added chili - windy cottage pie decent - burger was good w/ thick cut fries - chicken corn soup/chowder nice - BLT was very good It's been years since I dined here, I had heard about the changes and wanted to see for myself. We were not disappointed. Congratulations to the management......well done.

Terrible management by i think John he isn’t helpful or nice like one should be terrible servers especially the one name April she’s nasty and just terrible food idk what else to say the only good server we had was a nice girl named Gianna the other 3 experiences were horrible
