Great place for east skiing
Had a great time with my friend and family
Pretty good ski resort, although not big, but it's sizable for PA selections. It exceeded my expectations. Came in early Feb, snow was really good, the trails are at the easier side. I had fun!
Had a blast. Felt like I was a kid again
They are really pushing the alcohol here, and its already pretty dangerous on the slopes when they are crowded. My buddy got blasted from behind and injured. Ski patrol, not that visible and not doing much. Lift line management is hit or miss. Half the time the cattle run the farm. Lots of really little kids here on the slopes and parents that don’t understand how to properly protect their kids at all times. Go here on a weekday or weeknight only.
We had a lot of fun. I am not a fan to pay and snow tube when PA is full of mountains. This was a very safe and friendly family place. It was great!
The instructor for my six year old daughter told her to look for her parents despite my wife being at the pick up area. I found my daughter at the lift nervous and confused. Never again, shame on Blue Mountain.
The instructor left my six year old daughter to go look for her parents and my Husband happen to see her waiting by the lift, fearful and nervous. I was at the pick up area waiting for her and despite having a ticket identifying me as her parent for pickup, no on collected it and my daughter was told to go look for her parents. Poor form on behalf of Blue Mountain.
First-Time Skier & Loved Every Moment!
I recently visited Blue Sky Mountain Resort for my very first skiing experience, and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to the sport! I took a lesson and the staff was incredibly patient and supportive, making sure I felt comfortable and confident on the slopes.
I had an absolute blast and can’t wait to return to improve my skills. Highly recommend Blue Sky Mountain Resort for anyone looking to try skiing for the first time or just enjoy a fun day on the snow!
Always my favorite spot to ski near Tristate

Affordable prices and good quality service
Came from Philly to snow tube, it was my daughter and I first time and we had a lot of fun. We had a 12pm reservation on Friday 2/13/26 and it wasn’t too crowded until around 1. The lines to go down wasn’t too bad, we just made sure to get in the ones that were shorter. I would return!!
Very fun place for the kids.
It’s a go.
A great solution for locality, diversity of terrain, ease, and nighttime offerings
I grew up skiing here. And though we’ve skiied everywhere the last 20 yrs in western US, Canada, and Europe, I went back and actually had fun.
Why Blue Mountain:
- well laid out. You get a day of fun w varied terrain (graded on Pocono / tri-state standards)
- the 3 main lifts actually do a decent job getting people up and the lines on the Fri of Presidents Day weekend were actually modest (5 min wait?)
- lots of terrain park access - appreciated the features to make this place interesting
- super friendly staff; they seemed like real people
Areas to improve:
- food. The US and especially the east coast is still stuck in the mentality of “surviving by supplying”; the cafeteria at the bottom is just pumping out chicken tenders burgers and soups like all other American/ east coast cafeterias. Take metro to italy France or Austria and try the dining there. You do t need to be Michelin. If you created real dishes you’d have people staying for champaigne (or maybe here prosecco) and would be making margins on that for sure. A DJ and apres after 2pm is totally doable (Get some veuve cliqot blankets & sponsorship, sun hats and other gimmicks) and 28-48 year olds will come and spend $ (Largest spending demographic). Anyway, it starts w better food. If you can upgrade that, will be a real standout.
Overall, feel very fortunate to have Blue Mountain so close to us. It’s good for kids and families and not as boring than it’s two nearby peers Shawnee and Camelback.
I went with a group of 9 people ages 65 to 16, every single person had a blast! I give this a 5 star, the employees are really the ones that make or break a place like this. From starting at the parking lot guys, to the girls at the ticket screens and even the guy at the top of the tubing lift. Every employee was helpful, friendly and engaging. We went at peak hours it was packed, 12pm to 2 pm. We got 2hour tubing tickets, and stayed at the closest hill bc some people in the group have health issues and physically cant walk too far. In the 2 hrs we went 5 times each, the 1st hill did have the longest lines at the top waiting around 10-15min. We had time to go for more but most of us were too tired by then, the young people in our group absolutely would have gone more times down the hill.
We will be going back!
