However the pizza was bland. Not greasy. Just bland. Plain pizza. Got a white sauce and a plain
Tomato sauce had no flavor. Cheese for the cheese pizza was okay. Pizza itself hasn't had flavor.
White pizza was similar to the cheese some how. No garlic no kick. Just... Bland. If I spent 25 bucks I would shrug it off. Sadly I spent 40+ for a large pizza and xl large pizza and it just was lacking. Kids liked it and that's all that matters though

Best meatballs I have had in a very long time. The pierogi were delicious and the chicken cesar was top notch. We are staying at the Hampton and Gabby at the front desk recommended this place. So glad she did!

We were driving through Palmerton and noticed Papa Al's. My family and I decided to stop and give this restaurant a try and we are so glad that we did. We ordered calamari and bruschetta as an appetizer, Chicken Alfredo, Veal Parmigiana, & Gnocchi Bellan for dinner and I am in awe from how delicious and tasty our meals were. The veal parmigiana is huge! It covered the entire plate. My husband is a veal fanatic and said this was the best and most tender veal he has eaten. If I lived in the area, I'd be in debt with how often I would be at Papa Al's. Run don't walk if you have never eaten at this establishment.

My family and I usually dine in and we have always had awesome food and service. Yesterday we did not feel like going out so we tried delivery. We ordered their new hoagie pizza and I am impressed with how quick and hot my food was when delivered. The hoagie pizza is a must try! Thank you Papa Als for a great delivery experience!

I would strongly recommend nobody ever order delivery on weekends. My order was made at 4:04 with an expected wait of 4:29-4:44, and immediately got a notification that the arrival time would be more around around 5-5:15 PM. ( which I understand is to be expected on the weekends ) It didn't arrive until around 6:10ish, so almost an additional hour. And when it did I looked at the food and the container for my fries had a hole with the styrofoam melted onto the food, they didn't provide utensils or napkins as requested, was cold, and missing garlic knots. ( should've been 6 as listed on the website and only got 5 ) I called and was told their delivery drivers route took them from all over the area, ( slatington, bowmanstown, etc. ) so it gives the impression they're just understaffed if just one driver is taking such an extensive route with multiple orders. Do yourself a favor and just doordash elsewhere.
Over priced. Tell me why it cost $23 for one salad? It shouldn't be a couple dollars upcharge to add simple ingredients (olives, onions, etc). Food was mediocre.

Editing my original review, which was very good, to say if you haven't tried Papa Al's, you should. While the food was great previous to this last visit, the Paolo effect is evident. The nudges the cooks have gotten from the mentoring made the already delicious cuisine even better. Our family LOVED the homemade mozzarella bites (sauce was SO good), fettuccine alfredo (homemade noodles), chicken parm sub, smokey burger, and homemade fries. Lighting is low, which helped the ambiance a lot, but you might need your phone to read the menu if your vision is going downhill 😉 Final note, the cheesecake is really delicious too. We were too busy eating to take pictures of our food, but I did have a moment of clarity and took 2 pics of restaurant near closing time.
